Considering this is the first summer in years that Kobe actually rested his body, I doubt it. You can't really judge too much in preseason, especially for veterans like Kobe.
Quick, not sure I agree with the historical perspective you've added to this debate. Yes I can see him declining this season, but not much in the playoffs I bet. Just like Michael, you can count on him to save energy for the post-season. Until Kobe is 34 or 35 he will play like a Superstar during the playoffs. Kobe does look quick I don't think his struggle has to do with his athleticism. I said he was more efficient now, because he took less shots. Less shots = higher %. Then you stated: Kobe did not have help 2006-2007 though, and he took less shots, so that statement was somewhat confusing for me. He wanted to be more well-rounded that year, which is why he took less shots. He also averaged 24 PPG coming off of surgery for the first month. Kobe's percentages do not get better by adding anyone to this roster. In fact without Shaq he's been able to average more free throws thus increasing his efficiency. He shot "43%" in his first season without Shaq, he also shot much much more three pointers. So you can not compare him to AI, who's not the perimeter shooter Kobe is. And in addition he was given quite a bit of freedom to slash. You mentioned his first couple of seasons alone being tough efficiency-wise, this is not true. The lane was not as clogged up and this allowed him to improve his production per shot.
Eh, the Yankees pulled away tonight. I don't know what it is about the Angels', but they lack that killer instinct and their offense seems to disappear in the post season. Hats off to the Yankees, they played a hell of a series. Now that, that's done...GO PHILLIES!
Just got back from a trip to New York. It's in my top 3 cites I've been too. Absolutely amazing energy there. If I were 10 years younger I'd move there in a heartbeat.
Would you say, New York > Chicago? I plan on starting a firm within ten years (once I'm in and out of law school) and those are the two places i'm seriously considering
I've never been to Chicago. I'd probably recommend Washington D.C. though if you are starting up a firm. Majority of young professionals are migrating over there and plenty of work for lawyers in that town. Vinyard I thought you lived in Russia? Black Mamba, yup my first time there, but won't be my last.
Dude. NY = fucking awesome. I love NY, like a 2nd home to me. I love the fact that I've been there 20+ times in my life. Trust me Shape, it never gets old. Let's go Phillies!
I love NY too Can't really compare NY to LA, they're like completely different. But LA is a bit more laid back, NY is always hectic. Welcome back Shape!
