Yeah bad game for the Bulls, I expected it to be a 10 pt game, probably even closer. Good luck next time.
Like plenty of folks have said, this was a tough game that we expect to lose. But how we loose does tell us something, doesnt it? It tells us this team doesnt, at this point, have the sort of reserve of discipline, desire, leadership and talent to step up and win (or even be competitive) in the face of too much adversity. Questions: 1. Rose: Hurt or too deferential? 2. Salmons: Temporary slump or about what we should expect for the year? 3. Deng: Can he not be a sucking chest wound in big game situations? 4. Noah: Was he about to flip out at the end, and that's why they put him back in? Or just padding the stat line? 5. Vinnie: Return of the deer in the headlights look?
I really don't like the Celtics. They seem to be hell bent on reminding you how great they are after every single play. And the fire alarm in the hotel thing for the second game of the season thing was stupid. They really seemed to have a big chip on their shoulder last night, and they couldn't miss in the second half last night. They defense wasn't bad, they were just unnaturally up for the bulls last night. Pierce was 7-7 and 5-5 from 3 in the third quarter. That's ridiculous. They won't be this good in March and April. Tyrus and Noah look like they are going to be players. Salmons really can't shoot any worse. And Deng could have played better. James Johnson wasn't impressive at all. He looked indifferent about sitting on the bench. I don't see him getting a lot of playing time any time soon.
Also, it seemed like the refs swallowed their whistles about mid way through the second quarter. There were more than a couple of plays where a bull was grabbed on a drive or a pass and it wasn't called.
