Grey Cup Sunday Game pg: caledron sg: derozan sf: hedo pf: bosh c: bargs celts pg: nash sg: j.rich sf: grant hill pf: amare c: channing fyre key reserve: barbosa game notes: the raps outplayed the suns for 47 minutes in their last meeting, only to lose on an errant jumper by hedo at the end of the game. also, this game featured a lot of switching with a big switched on nash and caledron on amare. interesting strategy- worked for the most part last game but it could prove to be disastrous with a motivated amare. prediction: raps win 119-108 and the girl...
Just tuned in halfway through the 2nd quarter. Been a while since I've had time to watch Raps basketball, so I'm a bit removed from the recent mediocrity. I suppose that's a good thing for my mental well-being. What's all this about Pierce and Bosh getting into it? Elliot Friedman asked Nash about it, but he had no idea what he was talking about.
Anybody feel that our reporters are very hockey-ish about this whole ordeal? I half expected Friedman to ask Triano about his team's truculence.
refer to the raps-celts game thread- we have a few videos posted which document the events, look for mine in particular because it captures the doc rivers- triano confrontation as well. games notes -we suck -we need a new coach -we need a new gm
Wow, Nash totally owned Calderon. Other than that, your starters played pretty even with theirs. Leandro Barbosa outplayed your entire bench. BNM
wouldnt u get reprimanded by the gestapo in china for a comment like that? although, i tend to agree but i would add bargnani, colangelo and triano to that comment.
Bargnani played great today. His ability to defend guards off of a switch has really surprised me. Triano would be receiving a ridiculous amount of heat for his defensive scheme if it weren't for Bosh and Bargnani's ability to competently defend guards. I don't think this team can win with Calderon as our starting PG. I don't think Jack is an improvement by any means, but going forward the PG spot should be Colangelo's number one priority.
This team needs grit. Enter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmzhCLhzwxY&feature=related Yes this is bias but Collins is a Champion and a leader.
i dont want fatboy collins. he reminds me of the uconn guard khalid el-amin who played like 1 season with the bulls.
Calderon is average at best and all Turkoglu does is chuck up bricks. This team really needs to build and identity and either focus on their defence or offense because neither is very good at the moment.
for those who dont remember khalid and u have to be really young not to because he played in the league a few years ago, here's khalid el-amin in the euroleague
aside from khalid's portly physique he's also diminutive standing 5 foot 10- so he had many physical disadvantages but he does have game.
