Is it really hard to understand?

--Devin Harris missed ten games due to injury, and in his first four games since returning shot 18-for-55.

--The backup point guard, Keyon Dooling, has yet to play due to injury.

--The expected starting SF, Jarvis Hayes, has played all of two minutes this season due to injury.

--The starting PF, Yi, has played three and a half games due to injury.

--The backup PF, Eduardo Najera, has played eight games due to injury, and none since November 14.

--Tony Battie, who was expected to be a rotation big, has yet to play due to injury.

--The starting SG, Courtney Lee, missed seven games due to injury, and has been spotty since his return a few games ago.

--Douglas-Roberts missed three games due to the flu. During those three games, the Nets had one healthy guard on the roster. One (Rafer Alston, who is shooting around 33%). The starting SG during those games, Terrence Williams (really a SF), also SIMULTANEOUSLY served as the backup point. Think about that--a rookie was splitting his time between two positions that he isn't qualified to play.

--The Nets' rotation of bigs right now consists of Brook Lopez, Josh Boone, and Sean Williams. Bobby Simmons and Trent Hassell--both SFs--are playing PF because there is no one else. Over the past six games, Sean Williams has 18 fouls and two points. Total.

--For five or six games in a row, the Nets dressed just eight players. And it wasn't the same eight players.

When healthy, this is one of the five worst rosters in the league. Take away half the expected rotation players, and you're left with a collection of also-rans that wouldn't be picked up by a single team if the Nets cut them.

This team is a joke, management is a joke, ownership is a joke.

^ Mgmt is a joke, team is average, they had Carter and few others and kept trading them away. Just look at Vinyards sig, they were a damn good team. But they're operating on dreams of getting LeBron.

Blame Jay Z as well, that criminal gangster.

Not necessarily. Continuing to suck is a very realistic, very likely possibility.
