I really don't think we do. We need to keep the team together. We need to let the team develop, let the guys who wouldn't play anyways play, let Bayless blossom into a star.

I remember when Mike Bibby had his breakout playoff series, not sure what year. But I remember it. He just blossomed into a star right in front of my eyes (I had a buddy from Sac and we watched a lot of Kings games). I think I am seeing that ith Bayless right now. It is an awesome feeling.

I am going to be REALLY upset if Bayless doesn't get more burn.

We won't if Obi Wan keeps producing like Oden.

I would be in favor of keeping this team together, and letting the old hands expire (trout and blakey). But we need an immediate fix for center. Juward played his heart out tonight (maybe literally). I can't imagine he can keep this up the rest of the season though.

Old guys will be content to sit on a team and not play and chase a championship, young guys need minutes to get a second contract and will not be content to sit on the bench and collect DNPs and low minutes in order to chase a championship. Do the math ... still think this team won't need a trade sooner or later? If not, who sits?

You have to trade Blake and Outlaw. They are simply odd-men out! Both with expiring contracts - and together, we should be able to trade them to a team looking to dump salary.

Trade them to the Knicks for Lee. He's a small Center - really a Power Forward - but at the end of the season, having him gives us some options; move Lee and Miller for something fantastic? If prospects of Joel and/or Oden returning next season at full-health are slim, then you keep him.

WE NEED A BIG. WE NEED A BIG WHO CAN SCORE!!

Much of Howard's success in the few games he's gotten minutes is: 1) he's not too shabby on defense.....2) the guy can SCORE!

Lee can score. Lee can rebound.

the more players we lose, the more i think we just stand pat. We really don't stand much of a chance this season. Even if we do somehow make the playoffs, I don't see any shot at advancing. So, since we have so much talent coming back next year, and developing talent this season, let's stick with what we have. Get a decent pick and make some consolidation trades in the offseason when the players we would be trading are healthy and can be expected to bring back better value.

    Uh, yes.

Howard wont be putting up double/doubles like this for too long.

2002 WCF vs the Lakers. Remember it like it was yesterday. Bibby was brilliant - too bad the refs just had to get the Lakers to the finals to get television ratings. Bibby's Kings outplayed the Lakers in that series, it just didn't show on the final scoreboard.

It's been a while since Howard was a good player, but it seems like people forgot he WAS a good player. It's not like we're talking about Brian Skinner here.

But I do agree that at 36 (37 in a couple months) it's unlikely he can play 35 minutes a night and give us double/doubles for 51 more games.

um yes. fabulous job by the blazers on the road. best wins they have had in a long time. however... you cant ask howard to stay healthy/play 30 + minutes a night. will never happen.

you get something for blake/outlaw and pray a certain mri is ok.

I feel you, but I do not agree that it will never happen with Howard. I don't understand your beef with him? Are you an Ohio State fan?

Anyhow, I kinda feel like Outlaw needs another run with us and we shouldn't just dump him off. I am all about trading Blake, but I think Outlaw deserves a little run before we trade him.

Dumb question....is there anyone you see on someone's roster that we can a) get for a 3.4M disabled player exception and b) is a better backup 4/5 than Pendergraph?

I looked today through every NBA roster and didn't see one.
