Source: NBC Sports Don't see how this trade would have made any difference in the last 29 games + the postseason. I like the logic of American sports reporters though: Chris Bosh - "I don't see the need for us to make a trade right now." American Reporters - "The Raptors are active on the trade market trying to keep Bosh satisfied"
The Jack trade made a lot of sense for our basketball club. Powell? No so much. Little nervy about trying to turn the clubhouse into a treehouse.
ric bucher has apparently confirmed the validity of this rumour. if true- colangelo should be fired immediately for even contemplating such a move. first, banks is a competent point guard and jose has battled injuries over the last two years so his durability must be questioned. secondly, sasha is a glorified and highly paid specialist who hasnt been able to execute his specialty (shooting) in two seasons. thirdly, beli is better than him as well as cheaper and he's the fifth wing in our rotation, which would have made sasha our 6th wing. fourthly, if this move was about appeasing bosh- powell is a free agent this summer who could be had for the league min this summer.
^ deception with predictable hyperbole. Why not fire Kupchak for not accepting? "A rumor without a leg to stand on will get around some other way. "
THE MEH THAT NEVER HAPPEND? its a loss for raps why? 1) Sasha gets under opponents nerves real well something NO RAPTOR HAS not even REGGIE! 2) Sasha has something chris bosh and every nba players wants a RING 3) He is ALOT more useful than Banks and Patrick combined!!! come on people this guy is a streaky shooter, would also compliment Rasho!
mitch has fucked up more than once and if u dont believe me- look at the inflated contracts of sasha, luke walton and choosing ron artest over ariza this summer. trading sasha and acquiring banks would have addressed a major problem at the pg spot for them. and i honestly hope this trade has no merit because its fucked up on so many levels. i honestly would have been more understanding if we got back adam morrison's expiring contract.
At the end of the day, we're depending on what again? Ric Bucher's credibility? I'm not willing to get too worked up over that.
