one thing to be happy about: it took Lebron 40+ points to win this game

All in all, I thought we played very well......we just don't have Lebron James:confused:

Watching this series, I've cemented my belief that Derrick Rose is the best guard in the NBA at creating easy shots for himself. It's amazing the space he can create and how easily he can square his shoulders to the basket even when he's doing really difficult things.

It's also cemented my belief that he's not that great at creating shots for others. Watching the game, I kept thinking about how the ball would have moved if Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, or Chris Paul were playing point guard. The Cavs shifted their entire defense towards Derrick every time he had the ball, but he didn't do a good job of finding others IMO.

Maybe Derrick is the uber Jamal Crawford??

I don't see how, in general, we play any better than we played this game. So it sort of kills me we still lost it. I'm a little concerned we can even continue to play this well, but it does bode well for us stealing a game or two at home if we can. The flip slide is even if Lebron can score 40 any night, can Jamario Moon?

Joakim Noah is one of the most competitive players in the NBA.....the Bulls will not get swept with Noah on the roster. The best way to send a message to the Cavs is to start giving them playoff fouls. Chris Richards fouls hard.....in a pinch when LeBron is making his jump shots I would put Richards in the game and make him a LeBron fouler whenever he penetrates to the rim.

The Bulls play on energy and it is very difficult to get out in the open court when you are not putting pressure on another team defensively to take quick shots. I am not suggesting that the Bulls play dirty -- they just need to make sure that the Cavs feel every foul that they commit.

Derrick Rose is a great young talent - but I have never seen a point guard who handles the ball as much as he does have worst court vision. Rose does not make his teammates better.....but he is virtually unguardable when he is making his pull up jump shot. Great cornerstone player.....but given the limitations of his teammates he needs to be able to get them easier shots.

You have to understand though, that is probably the least talented team in the playoffs. Outside of Rose and Noah, there is no real talent that'll pull this team up. Hinrich is inconsistent, Deng is either a) injured all the time or b) "still recovering" while playing. Taj is still a rookie and while I like Brad Miller, we all know he should only be playing 10 minutes per game.

And I disagree about Rose, I don't think it's really his court vision, but rather the fact that his style of play caters to players who are spot up shooters. The problem is, we don't have many good ones. I think he'll change his game up during the summer and how he runs the team; but first, he really needs more talent around him (which we should be getting this summer).I do agree he should be getting them easier shots, but to be frank, it's a step up from his style of play early in the season where he would let the lesser players handle the ball, create, and get blocked as the end result (or get a really bad shot off).

I think doing some offseason training with someone like Chris Paul or Deron Williams would do wonders for him.

We stand a very good chance of winning this game at home.

What are the odds that Cleveland shoots 55% and 48% in 3's on the road?

    54% and 47%.

Cavs were 26-15 on the road, Bulls were 24-17 at home.

We got a shot. I actually think that we'll steal one ("steal" despite the fact we're at home) during our home stand.

Good thing I checked. I was thinking the Bulls played at 7. It is at 6! I would have missed most of the first half.

I will be watching the game, but I may not be online for the game thread for most of it.

Rose is totally feeling it tonight, wow. Hitting threes, and generally playing tough.

And I like the James Johnson toughness. Last play of the quarter and he contests Lebron's shot nicely.

I feel so bad. I'm choosing to watch the NFL draft for the first 20 minutes (til the Browns) instead of the Bulls :(

Bulls up 19, and Derrick Rose is coming out and showing he's a superstar. I'm pretty geeked

Bad: Shaq makes Brad Miller look small.
Good: Shaq makes Brad Miller look fast.
