Durant is certainly not the MVP of the league. He's not even losing the series with respectable numbers yet.

For someone who missed his first eight shots, he was certainly the key figure down the stretch (with Westbrook). Terrific defense on a selfish Kobe, dominating the glass and still hitting big shots when required. The kid is 21 years old and he doesn't shy from any responsibility, even if things aren't going his way offensively.

And of course he's not the MVP of the league, and probably won't ever be while LeBron is active.

Some do put him in that conversation, I just wanted to address it.

Well I was talking about the entire series (so far) so I'm not going to dismiss those first eight shots. I don't really care about one specific stretch or his boards. He's not LeBron at age 21 either, however I'm sure he'll be a superstar in the post-season when he matures. Just that the hype this season was silly to me.

Kobe was trash tonight, but he's not the same player anymore. Definitely off mentally as well but he's usually savvy.

Kobe is banged up. He has that stupid mentality that he can play through anything and it is really biting him in the ass right now. He should have healed his finger properly. Fucking stupid....stupid...stupid...stupid...

Durant played awesome defense on Kobe. The length really bothered him.

Re: 1st round: OKC Thunder vs LA Lakers (Lakers lead 2-0)

Are you one of those who believed Dirk didn't deserve the MVP a few seasons back, despite being clearly the best player during the regular season, because Dallas lost in the first round to Golden State?

He's in the conversation because he's gone out and put up one of the most efficient scoring seasons ever, averaged 30/8 and led a young team to 50 wins. I don't think anyone seriously expects him to get close to LeBron but he deserves to be mentioned.

I'd probably be more worried as a Laker fan that he hasn't hit his straps and the Thunder could have easily snatched game two, and still have a chance to tie it at 2-2 at home. To get beaten on the boards to that extent when you have two seven footers and Odom is shameful.

First, I'm not sure if you noticed but Kobe Bryant has played like Garbage in five out of his last six games. He's not exactly feeling it, I don't believe in him right now, and no the Thunder are not the biggest worry. I'm just not sure about him physically, he should have rested more.

I was referring to people putting Durant #1 on the ballot, which some posters here were saying a few days ago. It was an inside comment, somewhat.

You're mistaken. It isn't about being a winner in the playoffs for me. Dirk can lose whatever he wants but if he as an individual plays well against the Warriors, then he is a real MVP. Dirk was not a clear cut MVP in 2006-2007 like LeBron is this season anyway, and then with all of his issues against Golden State that hurt him.

You can lose honorably like LeBron did tonight and not many people will call you out.

Yo homies, ready for Game 4? If we lose tonight, I'm probably going to get real nervous then. And probably doubt any championship for us this year.

We can't have this series be tied. :(

We have home court advantage in this series. We're fine. They won't win a game in LA

I'm getting fucking disgusted right now

Absolutely no energy what-so-fucking-ever. Kobe didn't even score in the first quarter. Bynum is the only one just keeping us alive right now, otherwise we'd be down by like 30. Pau forgot what rebounding is.

Has anyone even hit a full pair? I think Pau and Odom missed both, Kobe and Artest missed 1.

Our bigs really need to step up right now in the second half or we're not winning.

anyone got a link to the game? it would really help not having to succumb to a box score-refresh cycle.

    thanks. pm me the link.
