I get your hypothesis: Sasha is the best backup SG, right? edit- Shannon's skills do not conflict with Farmar, unless Sasha is a superior shooting guard your logic is flawed.

What evidence do you have that Sasha is a better defender, shooter, or has higher value than Shannon at SG?

Aside from you written opinion, which I don't mind just confused me. ;]

I'm actually a very movable wall, my weaknesses are advanced stats.

Shannon's skills do not conflict with Farmar's. Only by being the best backup SG among the trio, would Sasha have more value.

"IMeaning, they can play Brown + Sasha .. or Farmar + Sasha .. or Farmar + ME .. whatever, just NOT Brown + Farmar .. follow so far?"

What position would you call it? And further, it doesn't matter what one wants to call it. His role is to "space" the floor, and defend guards.

I understand how much you dislike the farmar-brown combo, now explain to us how he is accomplishing your hypothesis that the combo with Sasha in it, has higher value?

Phil is a master at extracting good performances of average role players in the playoffs. He loves to use them as surprise factors.

In case you want a real objective analysis, nmg, take a look at this blog:

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=6103

That's what I would look at in this situation. Now there isn't enough Sasha data, so I would use an analysis of his contributions on defense. Why was I skeptical? He was 6/27 coming into this playoff game since the Denver series. Sorry if I asked too many hard questions but you're not answering them with figures, which is what I prefer.

After the playoffs I'll log into 82games.com and take a look at our most productive lineups. According to +/- and production.

That info isn't available right now, since the post-season is continuing, but I'll be the first person to bump this post and apologize, seriously. ;)

    You guys are annoying.

Sasha did tonight what we all wanted him to do and he broke up the Farmar-Brown duo, which was nice. Its that simple. Can you guys stop butting heads?

Sasha got under Dragic's skin and frustrated him into turning the ball over and taking some low percentage looks. I wonder what the back story is with them? Scorned Slovenian lovers or something?

Sasha gets the crowd going and his teammates going. You can't measure it statistically, but he had some key moments last night. Another nice play was sprinting down court to knock the ball our of Barbosa's hand.

Sasha has shown the tools to be a very effective shooter and role player. But his lack of consistency is at a high level.

That's why he should only play about 10 minutes per game.

Speaking of inconsistency what the hell happened to Shannon Brown? He looks lost on the court and has become a ball pounder. Him and Farmar never execute the offense properly and don't know how to swing the ball around the perimeter. Instead they like to dribble to the spot and hand it off. If only we could combine Luke's passing and sensibility into Farmar or Brown's athleticism and speed.

Shannon is not at last year's level for sure. He's 8 percent below what he shot in 09.

I think Farmar is shooting pretty well for his standards.

I think it's a must he play because he provides shooting/spacing and were gonna need that if Boston is gonna double Kobe which they probably will.
