Someone said Bynum is a pussy, wow. Guy is playing with a big injury which would probably hold 99% of our members at home, but he's hustling out there in the Finals.

I have not much to say really about the game, Kobe was good, Gasol was good but we didn't make it. Boston played great basketball, although it's official that I hate nate robinson right now, guy makes a lay up and thinks he's the king of the world, then lamar knocks him down and even says nothing to him, Nate comes back talking shit to him xD. This guy needs a break

I'd trade anybody not named Kobe, Pau, or Andrew on our team for Robinson.

Bynum will be well rested so I fully expect him to give us 25-30 good minutes and be a factor, he doesn't need to score he just needs to be a defensive presence out there. Laker fans don't panic if we lose we still have 2 games at home to win it all but I think with Bynum back we will win game 5, no way Boston gets all those layups against Bynum and he and Odom will help Kobe and Pau with the scoring and Fisher as well.

Lets go Lakers ! Win game 5 and we win the series no question in my mind.

Leon POW flashbacks last night with Big Baby playing huge for the Celtics down the stretch. Kobe and Pau were brilliant for us, but we didn't have that third player *cough* Lamar Odom *cough* rise to the challenge when Bynum went down after Kevin Garnett chop blocked him while Bynum set a screen. Dirty play by KG early in the game and Bynum might be done for the rest of these playoffs after that cheap shot.

PJax was noticeably upset during the post game interview and I expect the Lakers to come out with a lot more hunger this next game. Don't be surprised to see Mbenga out there to mix it up in the post and give the Lakers more height. We got killed on the glass last night and that was the difference.

I'm glad I didn't post anything on here right after the game, because I was full of angry emotions. Now, after cooling down I know that it's not the end of the world. I was expecting a tough rivalry from this year's finals so I'm not surprised that the series is tied. As much as I hate that fat fucker Glend Davis, Big Baby has brought energy and great points off the bench for Boston throught the series so far. The obvious x-factor thus far. I don't understand how he gets past Odom all the time but yeah whatever. Kobe and Gasol were the only players I was pleased with (Drew doesn't count. For me, he's a fighter for even playing). You could sense the lack of energy and will of our players this time and that became crucial for us. Loved Kobe's mad face, though (after the second time he hit back-to-back threes). No worries, we'll take the next one and then finish this bitch off in L.A.

I agree, he has to play defense, basically man up and get tough with the Boston bigs. He has the body to do it, is athletic enough but seems disoriented at times on the court, like he doesn't care it's the finals. Not the killer mentality Kobe/Fisher have.

Re: NBA Finals: Boston Celtics vs. LA Lakers (Series tied 2-2)

Good article on Tony Allen's defense on Kobe...

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Bryant is now just 5-for-19 (26.6 percent) in the Finals with Tony Allen as the Celtics' primary defender on him. Even when he doesn't cause Bryant to miss a shot, he deters him from even taking one. In the 73 possessions that Allen has guarded him this series, Kobe has touched the ball 79.5 percent of the time. In the 234 possessions when it's been somebody other than Allen checking Kobe, Bryant has touched the ball 88 percent of the time.

All 19 shot attempts by Bryant against Allen have been with a hand in his face too, while he's been able to get off eight uncontested looks against the rest of the Celtics' crew.

So how does Allen do it? A 6-4, 213-pound frame with an abundance of athleticism, Allen has the physical ability to keep up with the 6-6, 205-pound Bryant, but really it's what he does on the tactical side of things that makes him a barge that Bryant has difficulty breaking through.

"I think he steps on his right really well, makes him go left and keeps on the floor instead of getting up [in the air] on the pump fakes," Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson said. "He does a good job of that."

Boston defensive guru Tom Thibodeau has molded Allen to embrace cerebral decisions rather than simply relying on athletic actions.

"You definitely can't go for those fakes," Allen said after the game, as pleased as a guy who scored only three points himself can be. "It just comes from watching a lot of film, listening to coach Tom Thibodeau, and being ready to compete, that's how I look at it. I would say I'm more conscious of it with Kobe. If I'm sticking Shannon Brown, if he's getting ready to shoot, he's going to launch. He doesn't have the head-fake shot in his game. Kobe pretty much made a rep[utation] for that, I have to be ready for it at all times."

You're never going to totally shut down Bryant's offensive assault -- he still scored 33 points in Game 4 -- but you can make it harder on him.

Half of Bryant's 22 attempts in Game 4 were 3-pointers. He made six of them, tying his playoff career high for most makes from downtown in a game, but you'd rather have him launching from 22 feet and beyond where he's shooting 39.6 percent for the playoffs than anywhere in 2-point territory where he's hitting at a 49.1 percent clip in the postseason.

The Celtics had to get through the likes of Dwyane Wade, Vince Carter and LeBron James through the first three rounds just to get an at-bat against Bryant, who Pierce described as "much more difficult [to guard] on the scouting report because of the things he does."

Boston was obviously all about Tony after the game ("Phenomenal tonight with his energy," head coach Doc Rivers said), but maybe even more impressive than his effort on Bryant during the game was the praise he received from Kobe after it.

"He does a great job," Bryant said. "He plays hard, he competes and he's a good solid defender. I'm enjoying it."

Rasheed Wallace needs to be careful ..

Rasheed Wallace picked up his sixth technical foul Thursday night and now has to be careful, like Kendrick Perkins. If either gets another one they will be forced to miss a game in the Finals.

Celtics head coach Doc Rivers hopes Wallace's technical will be overturned by the league.

"I hope they rescind Wallace's because I thought he did a dance, but he ran away," Rivers told the Boston Herald. "I didn't think he said anything. The dance was funny, but I don't know. I just wish they hadn't given it to him. It's a concern, and the Lakers know that."

Tweetable items from Lakers Coach Phil Jackson's news conference

--Jackson doesn't know the playing status of Lakers center Andrew Bynum, who missed most of the second half of L.A.'s Game 4 loss Thursday to Boston because the swelling in the torn cartilage of his right knee felt too painful. Bynum is visiting a doctor Friday, but Jackson hadn't talked to him by the time he addressed reporters.

Regarding how Jackson determines if Bynum will play in Game 5 Sunday: "We'll use him if he's available and able, but we're certainly not going to put him in a situation that's either going to hurt himself or the team."

--Jackson hopes Lamar Odom and Ron Artest to have big performances in Game 5. When asked if there's anything that can be done to jump-start Odom, Jackson joked, "I was thinking of an electrode."

--When asked if D.J. Mbenga would get more minutes because of Bynum's injury, Jackson responded, "Sure, if his head is into it."

--He attributed the team's lack of ball movement to the Celtics defense, and added that the Lakers reserves don't have the skills to drive.

--The starters have the day off Friday for rest, while the limited-role players have individual workouts. The team plans to have a brief meeting later in the day.

--Jackson described the NBA Finals series with Boston as "a lot of teeter-totter here, despair and elation."

---Jackson made fun of the Celtics' emotions from Game 4, saying, "You can be provocative and get out there and act kind of like they do if you want to, and get in people's faces and do that. But that's not the way I like to coach a team."

--Jackson reluctantly praised Doc Rivers' coaching, crediting him with determining match-ups, developing his bench and pacing the team during the regular season. Said Jackson: "Is that enough for you? I'll give him a gold star."
