In football no way. There may be more medicore teams in conferences such as the ACC and the Big East, but neither are top heavy like the Big 12. They at least have 2 teams that could compete for a championship, while if you look at the Big East especially, who can compete for a championship? Which ACC team will compete for a championship? My hatred for the ACC may have a little something to do with me adding them in there, but I don't think there's anyway you could say that the new Big 12 isn't better than Big East.

the new big 12 is still a better football conference than the big east and acc without any doubt. with usc's problems they may still be a better football conference than the pac 10 as well.

oh and both of the garbage teams you mentioned finished the regular season with .500 records and one of them beat a big ten team in a bowl game. in losing colorado and nebraska, the big 12 lost one very bad team and one good but not elite team.

Cincy was the third wheel last year, Rich Rod had WVU in the hunt a few years ago. So dont tell me that they dont have any teams to challange for a national tittle. One day, The U is going to rise again... Actually I have the ACC behind the Big 12, football wise.

ISU, KU, K-State, Baylor, was going to be schools with out homes if "Texas" didnt stay. and the only reason Texas Tech was going is becouse they was joined at the hip with Texas... That dont screem a good football, does it? 'Cuse, Rutgers and Pitt was all rumerd to be going to the Big Ten at one point in time, and still might.

how many teams in any conference would be left "without homes" if the big schools in their conference left? there are at least a few teams in every conference. pointing out the few in the big 12 doesn't help your point. and your team choices are funny. iowa state beat a big ten team in a bowl game last season. kansas won a bcs bowl game in 2007. k state was a football power not that long ago.

OU lost to Boise St. in a BCS game...Does that mean OU sucks? No it dont and Minn/Mich St losing there bowl games dont really matter eather. You think a bunch of poor stutdents can aford a plane ticket to Phx to watch the Insight.Com bowl? Would you want to watch the Insight.com bowl? The southern/pac-10 schools are allways at an advantage in bowl games becouse they play alot closer to home.

And for Kansas's BCS game, Michigan beat Florida that year...Who do you think is the better team?
