Now that most guys have announced, who are your top contenders for next year?

Well Duke is obviously the favorite. I look for UK to be near the top. I can't wait to see what Memphis does with their recruiting class.

Talk to me July 1st. There is a team thats back up PG took them on a final four run last year. The same team will have a healthy starting PG (That took them to the final four 2 years ago). 4 of the 5 starters are coming back. Lets pray that our coach comes back.

From what I've read, you better pray hard that your coach comes back, otherwise it looks like half the team could end up leaving.

Disaster averted. They should be Top 3 preseason.

Purdue or Michigan State: who should be ranked higher to start the season and why?

Michigan St. because they still have their coach. A coach that I gained a hell of a lot of respect for, btw.

Michigan St. no question. Purdue is going to be good, but not as strong as people think. Their big three are obviously very good, but they will miss the senior leadership they had last year from Kraemer and Grant. Not to mention, the Boilermakers bench last season was terrible. Insert two of those guys in the starting lineup and more playing time for the rest and they are going to struggle at times.

One team that could make the jump into top 5 contender this season is Virginia Tech. This team is going to be senior heavy, led by the extremely talented Malcolm Delaney. Allan Chaney transfers in from Florida to help them in the post. Greenberg's teams are always strong defensively, too. No reason they can't be in the hunt come March.
