    Big Ten expansion coming soon
I despise a 16-team conferences, but the Big 10 addition was inevitable.

So who do you think they add? Pittsburgh has been the name I've heard most often over the last several months. ESPN reported Texas was actually considering it a couple months ago.

And then what does it mean for the other power conference(s) that is(are) effected? Big East going to steal someone back from the ACC? Maybe go for a team like Xavier?

You need to think of the BTN when talking expansion. If you add Pitt or Notre Dame you add a slice of pie, without really adding any more cash. I would love to see Texas join, even if it would mean my Sparty's would never sniff the Rose Bowl again. It just makes sense. Mizzu and Kansas St. would be my fall back plan.

Big East would go after ND if the Big Ten takes Cuse or Rutgers.

Xavier in the Big 10 would work for basketball. Do they even have a football team?

I think it has more to do with getting a championship football game than anything else.

    I don't even know if they're D1 in football.

I know Iowa State and possibly Depaul make sense geographically, but program wise they could steal a Notre Dame and Marquette from the Big East.

This being in the B-ball section is kinda missleading, becouse its about football. But they have to be able to get into the CIC and the AAU. While sports brings in millions, the research brings in billions.

True, it is mainly to do with football but it still impacts the basketball side of things.

    Colorado to Pac 10

    Boise St. to Mountain West

Wonder if, when this is all over, there will be a Big 12.

Utah will be good for the Pac-10. At least now they can't get screwed out of the championship game.
