The chance you take blocking shots in the box.

It wasn't worth the red card and it wasn't penalty.

The refs have been brutal last two days. What the fuck is going on? Maybe they watched the NBA Finals. hahah

I think it should of been a penalty but the red was a bit much. Then again, the new rules state that a foul inside the box that denies a goalscoring opportunity constitutes a red.

Shouldn't be both red card and penalty, they're getting advantage already with having one more player than the opponent, plus you give them the penalty its like handing the match to Ghana.

    :(

The Aussie's have redeemed themselves with this performance. I've decided I don't hate them anymore.

Lots of controversy about the red card for Kewell that I'm somewhat surprised to see. I didn't think twice about the red when I saw and the penalty was obvious. Of course, if the ref gave a yellow and a penalty, I wouldn't have had a second thought about it either. And I'm none too pleased that Ghana couldn't pull out the win in this match. They needed. Its tough to go into a match against Germany needing a win.

What a shame that Serbia lost, but they just can't seem to perform the same way ... spirited against the top teams and lazy against the mid-level ones. I guess the only good point is that at least one African team has gone through as I doubt any other will.

Looks like Serbia didn't really lose that game until Germany scored. At that point, they had to throw everything forward, and left the back exposed for those two goals. Still, kudos to Australia for coming back from that 4-0 drubbing to muster up 4 points. Too bad those four Germany goals ended up costing them in the end.

    Germany vs. England - wow!

I'll say this for now. England has the better players right now, not a doubt in my mind about that. Start listing the best players in that game, and you'll probably list Rooney, Gerrard, and maybe Lampard and Terry before you even think about listing Ozil, Schweinsteiger and Mertesacker. Add to that, the inexperience factor. In an almost complete turnaround from previous World Cups, Germany has the youngest squad in South Africa.

All that being said, I just haven't seen England put those skills together and play as a team, while the youth factor is helping Germany do just that.

I see it 1-1 after 90, and anything can happen.

Quite an accurate prediction, in my opinion. I can't see England doing much damage against Germany if they continue to perform like they did against Algeria and USA in the group stages. I still think we're missing the skills and speed that Walcott brings to the team because to be frank, Aaron Lennon has been absolutely useless.

The reason why I rate Walcott higher than those other speedy wingers (besides being an Arsenal fan) is because of how he uses his pace. Lennon tends to latch on to the ball early in the opponent's half and takes the defender one-on-one. That doesn't tend to work this World Cup seeing as many of the nations like to defend in numbers. Walcott likes to run on to balls and can put any RB in his back pocket if given the right pass.

Anyway, I don't want to make a prediction. C'mon England!
