We end up with the 8th seed, upset the lakers... only to lose in the 2nd round to a team we should have dominated...

... but it might be worth it :)

Those players that they "quietly" added are all for the most part scrubs. Has-beens.

Blazers reach the Finals after eliminating the Lakers in 7. (thats right, you heard it here first folks)

Matthews is 6th man of the year.

The only reason I didn't "predict" Matthews as 6th man was because I also predicted that 'Dre would be traded. Once 'Dre is traded, Matthesws becomes our 2 and Roy becomes our 1. Can't be 6th man of the year if you're a starter.

Yes, but the important thing is, they added them quietly.

    His bones look very snapable.

For the sake of competition though, I hope he doesn't go down.

This is where I stop myself from saying something bitter and jaded about OKC.

Fans will start clamoring for Armon Johnson to get more minutes after game 5 of the regular season.

Donte will become an impact player.

Oden makes the all star team.

I would agree with you, but they lost me when they traded their All Star Yi Jianlian.

A team expected to be well over .500 will be well under .500 all season long.

A team expected to be well under .500 will finish a little over .500, surging after the All Star Game.

Someone who was too injured last year to be an All Star will make the All Star Game.

Someone who made the All Star Game last year will be too injured this year.

Jlprk's posting frequency will decrease after 3000 posts, as his personal life goes through the drama of kicking the posting habit. Despite his crying, the withdrawal symptoms, the robbing liquor stores to finance his habit, he will eventually conquer his posting addiction so that he can finally clean his house and take a shower.

An article will appear on a site nobody has ever seen before matching GMs in fantasy wrestling matches. In the round robin, Cho will be the first to lose.

The drama this year will be that Roy is vocally unhappy with Matthews taking many, many minutes from him, including many clutch moments. Roy will note that stupid unselfish play is why he was just a reserve in college till he was a senior, and was drafted only 6th. Quick will get this quote off him: "Where is the McMillan that I love, the one who molds his whole team around me?" Roy will no longer sit with the coaches at the head of the team plane, planning the next game. Canzano will observe that he is too dyslexic to sit still and read magazines like the other players. Canzano will embellish the story into something about licking newsprint and going blind, and will then crusade against a college player for doing it.

Like any other player, losing his volume of minutes will cause Roy's stats per minute to plummet. So he will not make the All Star Game. The Blazers will roll on just fine because it's the system, not him, that has produced the wins.

Great minds will dissect McMillan's system. Its plusses and minuses will remain the mystery of the cosmos. Because it cannot be explained, the system will spawn a religion. However, this will remain only regional, at least in this century. Numerologists will write tracts about the range of .500 to .700, and phraseologists will observe the increasing popularity in song lyrics of the catchy "pretty good, but not the best."
