He's certainly top 3 or 4. You have to consider Chris Paul to be the best, and Deron Williams is certainly up there. Rondo has to be in the discussion. Westbrook, too.

Rondo's team has the best record. The others' teams are right around the Bulls' record.

I think Rose is the best. At the beginning of the season I would have said no way, but you take in new information and continue to evaluate. I don't see anyone who provides what he provides.

If his defense continues to improve then yes, I would say he will be.

He plays both ends of the court.

Transplant has a very nice article "Scary Rose" mentioning he has worked on every aspect of his game that needed worked on and has improved each and every one drastically and in such a short period of time. He is still a kid! Wow

    39th in assist/turnover ratio.

Look, I'm not ready to argue with anyone who disagrees. I'm just saying that in my opinion, and apparently Barkley and Weber's, Rose is the best point guard at this time. Rose plays the position differently than I've seen, and I expect the turnovers from him. Every play begins (and a lot of times ends) with the ball in his hands.

Pure point rating is better than Assist/Turnover ratio.

Rose is about even with Deron in various metrics.

Rose is awesome but I'd still take CP3, Deron and Rondo over him.

I said Rose was the 3rd best PG before the season and sticking to that. Rose doesn't play like a typical PG but he plays the way he needs to for the team to win

If you were picking PGs to start a franchise, Rose is undoubtedly #1. He is 3 years or more younger than D-Will, Paul or Rondo.

If you had to win a game tomorrow, unclear to me if you pick him, Paul or D-Will. He is clearly ahead of Rondo at this point IMHO. Barring injuries, I think by next year, he clearly will be #1. The rate of improvement of this guy is just awesome.

He is clearly better at free throws than Rondo. Other than that, nothing is clear. They are completely different players. One takes 20 shot a game, the other takes 9.

He's definitely in the top 4, with Paul, Williams and Rondo. After putting him in that group, it's hard to dissect who is the best because they're all such gifted players at that position. I don't necessarily know if you can go wrong with any of them.

He's a scorer so he can't be judged on just PPR.

And he's not a highly efficient scorer so he's just Deron or Rondo level, instead of Paul level. But he's my age so he has a bright future. ;)

If Paul and Deron don't get legacy points for past success, then I think he's in the top 3 with them.

I'm not really sure how you could make a strong case for one over the other. All 3 are the best players on teams with similar records. IMO Rose is firmly ahead of Rondo, and will be for the foreseeable future. Rondo's really good at what he does, but he needs good players around him to be successful, which is not the case with the other three.
