I really hated USC. They're the college equivalent to the Lakers.

Has there been any unexpectedly good news?

It seems like Byers to Clemson (which seems to be having a GREAT day) is bad news in an unexpected way.

I know the bar is being set high, but I was hoping for a good surprise or two...

I like Ebert. He seems solid and quick. Good pursuit. Solid gap filler - to be determined.

Lake is a true DE. I hope we aren't so thin that we take great DE's and turn them into adequate DT's. Dangit, I'm coveting a few DT's like Moala, Simmons, and Jenkins.

Hey, Jenkins hasn't signed yet. You never know....he's got an Oregon offer. I know, he said he'd only play in the South. Man, a 340# gap filler like him would be an asset.

depends on how you look at it. There havent been any surprises today like Heimuli was last year. But DeAnthony Thomas if they get him, has been described by some people who cover recruiting as the biggest recruiting coup in the last 8 years. It just isnt as much of a surprise cause of the few days of coverage that it has gotten. But if this all came as a surprise today, instead of a couple days ago. It would be all that would be talked about by all the recruiting services. The only higher overall recruit this school has gotten (this decade) was Ngata... and Ngata was only 3 spots higher on the overall board.

OK I just signed a letter stating that yes I want to play for the Ducks but I don't know where to fax it to. Does anyone have Chip's fax number?

my Inside LB concerns were somewhat quelled by Chip's press conference when he stated Hardrick is up to 225 lbs... he was listed at 205 in his profile.

here's a link to it for those who missed it... http://www.goducks.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=500

The butthurt Usc fans are hilarious. I hope Thomas was originally going to go there, but after having seen what was being said about him, changed his mind to coming here.

Some of it is just downright vicious. If he does end up at USC, there will have to be an awkward period of reconciliation.

I wonder how many briefcases of money have been sent to Thomas' house?

I wonder how many USC "fans" are outside of his house in South Central LA right now. ;)

Supposedly it's on CSN at 8:00. Stupid mom seems to be having second thoughts. Since alums can't talk to DAT today, I bet they got to mom. The Cam Newton ruling has a lot to do with this IMO.

So why can't Uncle Phil call her up and whisper sweet nothings in her ear?

I have to think he's going to SC since it keeps getting pushed back. If so, I won't blame him. It's a big burden for such a highly rated Crenshaw player to shun USC on a decommitment. Terrell Turner was no DAT when he committed to the Ducks. Mamba's Mom still has to live down there...

I won't blame him, but I sure as hell will blame USC. I wish the NCAA would enforce harsher punishments for cheating.... as in.... "hey you can't play AT ALL for three years. Don't like it? Fuck off."

I said a few days ago that I would almost bet money he was staying with SC. I haven't changed my mind
