The first four, I kind of laughed about, saying that the Lakers were in cruise mode until the playoffs begun.

But 5 FRIGGIN LOSES IN A ROW?!? That worries me. Especially because Phil is saying how the Lakers themselves are VERY worried about their current slump.

Last 2 games of the season are must-wins now, if we'd like to keep that 2nd seed.

Things are getting kind of scary in Lakerland.

No Laker team has won a championship the same season they endured a 5 game losing streak.

I'm not sure what to make of this current losing streak, but last night you could see the team was focused to win the game and still couldn't pull out the victory. Our bench blew the lead and we didn't have enough left to regain it. James Harden killed us off the bench with his scoring and play making. Neither team played well on defense and there were a lot of free throws for both teams for reach in fouls.

Teams have been getting into the paint too easy the past few games. That has to get fixed right away because our point guards aren't able to stay in front of anyone and the weakside rotation is always slow to react.

It's just frustrating because the team goes on a 17-1 streak and now all the work they put into that streak is down the drain by losing 5 straight to lesser opponents. The Lakers have played themselves into possibly being the 4th seed out West.

    Round 1 - Denver
Round 2 - on the road @San Antonio
Round 3 - on the road @Oklahoma City
    Finals - on the road @Chicago, @Boston or @Miami

That's a brutal road to winning 3 championships in a row.

Does Boston have finals HCA over us if ever they make it? We just lost our chances of getting HCA against mia.

Plus, im really worried about facing OKC, they have Perkins, Nazr AND Ibaka. All of whom are capable of containing Pau and Bynum... Damn.

If by contain you mean Pau and Bynum score 20 points a piece, then yeah.

If we win the final 2 games, we get 2nd seed.

Did u see the last game? We "tried" to win that one and we still lost. Im just saying OKC's size will/is a real cause for concern. There's nothing weak about recognizing possible threats.

Even if Bynum were out, I question if we lose a whole lot in the playoffs. LO fills in nicely, and is the most consistent player on this team. I hope Bynum comes back, but I'm confident with LO taking over.....until the Finals at least.

That being said, with ACL injuries (severe hyperextensions can mean torn ACLs), would have the player limping off the court. Bynum looked fine getting off the court.

Fuck! I feel terrible for Bynum. Every time he starts turning the corner he ends up with a freak accident.

We can't even take care of business against the Spurs 2nd unit.

I've been saying this all season long but the having to get rid of our whole bench this season is starting to catch up to us. OUR BENCH SUCKS and has SUCKED ALL SEASON LONG. BROWN/BLAKE playing at the same time has caused us a lot of games, not to mention we have no GOOD big back ups. We got rid of Farmar/Sasha now i think we miss them. They knew their roles and they played hard every night. BROWN comes in thinks he is #24 dude needs to get a reality check! The only bench players i would only count in the playoffs IF healthy are LO and Barnes.

If Bynum can get himself healthy for second round, everything will be fine.

To be fair last year when Bynum was limping around in the playoffs the other front court players didn't get much PT.

    Bynum - 561 minutes / 24.2 MPG
    Mbenga - 12 minutes / 4.0 MPG
    Powell - 40 minutes / 3.1 MPG
    Walton - 96 minutes / 6.0 MPG

Gasol, Artest & Odom played the lions share of the minutes in the front court.
