Truthfully, many affiliations between big business and the music industry have netted fruitful endeavors for all parties involved. And now, a university-level homework assignment: see if you can use a keen eye to find a few more examples of relationships between big business, government, or social organizations with the Rap community. Chances are, there's probably some right around you; you may not have even been aware of them before. Hint: Take a good look at those motion pictures hitting the big screen. Here's an interesting scenario for you to sink your teeth into...action!
I love basketball (more than soccer) but soccer was the first sport invented after all popularity=soccer, cooler game= basketball.
Anyways, basketball mau be getting a bit more popular now, but here in the USA, football is the dominant force, as in other countries, it may be Soccer, but it's unlikely that their would be a major turnover in the system. Football will always be more liked than basketball in the USA. But, reading that quote, yes basketball is getting more popular nowadays'.
The surge in popularity is going to come from China. They have public basketball courts all over China now and kids are adopting the sport. In the USA soccer has had the most percentage growth for youth sports and baseball has dipped by 2 million. The study concluded kids want to play sports with more 'action' which baseball doesn't offer.
Yeah, Baseball is not what it used to be. I'd rather play Basketball, because Im not sitting out in outfield doing shit or being the catcher, rather be running and hitting people. Im a dirty basketball player if you fuck with me. Lol. Hip checked a friend when he tried to run past me.
Not to mention, real men play it. Much better than cricket, and a lot more enjoyable than watching baseball.
I come from Ireland and yes there are school teams what play in leagues and cups, but you would not find the average teenagers outside playing basketball, but they would be playing football or one of the Irish sports such as hurling or Gaelic. Which is a shame as i love basketball.
