I think he deserved it. Why do you think he didn't? Just signing the big three free agents in a climate where there were several teams with lots of cap space is a tribute to how players like to play for him. The team's record is plenty good enough. The playoffs don't matter for the award, but they look like they may well be in the ECF, at least.
