If this is true, i wouldn't think someone like Kobe would allow it. That's why i don't think that this is true. Or maybe im wrong.

Kobe, imo, is too proud a player to have to bow down to someone as unaccomplished as drew. He's done so much for this franchsie to not have a say on what it's future holds.

Worst comes to worst, when the next NBA season comes... Kobe would force a trade or things will get even more messed up in la-la land.

First of all, Jim did not put Phil out of the Lakers. Phil announced his retirement. Secondly, is time for the Lakers to start the transition to a new offense and new responsibilities. As much as we all love Kobe, he will not continue to play at its highest level.

That article doesn't make any sense. Things must be pretty boring in Laker land.

I actually believe it. Bynum, and it isn't his fault, is Jim Buss' meal ticket. Jim Buss drafted him and Jimmy boy refused to trade him. I would not be shocked at all if Buss demands that Bynum be an integral part of the offense next year and that the transition starts.

Eventually we're going to have to transition from Kobe...I think now is the best time to START that by running through BOTH Bynum and Gasol more often. It'll only make life easier for Kobe out there, too.

    ^^^ This

The article is stupid, but mainly because of its tone and confrontational attitude. The truth is we should have gone into the post much more often last year, and I for one hope that Mike Brown makes a point to get our big men more touches in the post going forward.

I agree, the article simply makes it seem that Kobe is trying too hard to be the main pt man for the lakers (obviously he isn't as dominant anymore), and they're trying to push a bad thing out by putting in Drew.

Kobe is not the guy to lead your team anymore. You need someone else who can lead the team. Bynum isn't the guy to do it either, at least from what i see he isnt able to make the right decisions and stay injury free. Why would you depend on someone who only plays on average 40 games a season.
