News reports I've read say that Harris was clocked doing 118 mph -- no drug test as far as I know. Obviously, his passenger said they'd already smoked the weed.

Edit: not that I really want to give this thread any more life. It should be killed, forgotten, possibly used as fertilizer.

Lol -- no problem. But when I double checked the oregonian website, there was an update saying the issue around the car being "lent" to Harris isn't necessarily resolved. Ugh. There I go, giving new life to this piece of crap thread.

    Incredible..."not a big deal"?

Do you think OSU players respect Riley when on the same weekend they are warned by their head coach, they throw this kind of party?? You seem to be skirting the fact that Riley had just warned his players.

It's interesting you continue to just say most kids drink. There is a Code of Conduct players are supposed to follow. At Oregon, we've been known to suspend players indefin. for alcohol related violations/crimes. If this were 4 Ducks, I'd be pissed at their lack of respect towards Kelly.

So given all the incidents over the past year (two years?), you must be one pissed off dude.

Head on back to the Duck forum -- this feeble thread is a waste of everyone's time.

Waste of time? That's why you respond five times. LOL. I love Beav logic.

You simply can't defend the lack of respect for Riley when he warns the entire team, then the very weekend, FOUR (not one) players receive THIRTY TWO violations and misdemeanors.

I do think Thomas needs to make better decisions and choose his friends better. But, he hasn't been cited and is guilty by association, but not guilty by direct action, like these Beavs.

Guys, I hate to say it, but Targus' views are starting to sink in. I think he IS right and it's a BIG DEAL. Four players getting caught drinking right after Riley asked them to stick to the straight and narrow is a BIG PROBLEM. When people drink, all sorts of bad things can happen (like murder, assault and deviant sex crimes.) None of that happened here, BUT IT COULD HAVE. To be honest, it makes me question whether Riley still has control of the program and whether he has any respect from his players. Maybe it's time to start talking about a coaching change? We just can't stand for this sort of thing.

In fact, it makes me concerned that the NCAA might get involved under the big whopper penalty assessed to programs that have a lack of institutional control. Those four guys drinking RIGHT AFTER THEY WERE TOLD TO KEEP IT CLEAN, goes right to the heart of a showing of lack of institutional control.

Before the NCAA gets involved, maybe we should be proactive about this HUGE PROBLEM and start assessing penalties to ourselves. We could fire Riley, maybe take away some scholarships from ourselves, but I think we should aim for something even tougher because this is A REALLY BIG PROBLEM and the NCAA may go easier on us if we penalize ourselves to fit this MAJOR INFRACTION. The Ducks have already started using black in their color schemes and I think we should also give them our orange. Can you imagine what they'd be able to do with the combination of neon yellow and neon orange? Put it in sequins and it's Duck SCHWING!!!. Going forward, we can wear only white. Numbers, names on uniforms, all of it white. Even the field turf.

Further, I believe that those four players have created SUCH A HUGE PROBLEM FOR THIS PROGRAM that they have disrespected Benny Beaver in the worst possible way. I think we need to face facts and realize that the transgression was so bad that we are unfair to the beaver (both happy Benny and the modern angry beaver.) I think we should self assess a penalty and give the beaver mascot IN ITS ENTIRETY to Beaverton high school or possibly Ballard high school up in Seattle.

Again, Targus, apologies to you. You were SO RIGHT ABOUT THIS MASSIVE PROBLEM. All of us OSU fans should be angry, upset, and ready to take serious steps to resolve this MOST SPECTACULARLY HUGE PROBLEM quickly. Thanks for coming to our forum and giving us your wisdom -- it's a huge help to us and we are grateful (and lucky) that someone so much smarter than us is willing to tell us like it is. With this post, I hope we are all now on the same page AND WE CAN ALL MOVE THE EFF ON.

LOL, that was entertaining. But, hey, look at the positives. It's not like they were out assaulting a serviceman based on skin color, or breaking into a woman's house in the nude, or stealing, or punching cars with babies in them and being charged for kidnapping, or making funny business with sheep or disrespecting the program and coach by doing the exact opposite of what...oh, wait....lol.

    All in fun, right?

Yeah, it's also great they don't engage in dildo play, unlike players in some other programs. I could make a longer laundry list, but that one is good enough that I can stop.

I wonder if Oregon will get a $25K refund from Lyles now?

Not likely. The guy is living on an $8/hr grocery store job. I wonder if other schools will get their money back, or if LSU, which paid Lyles $6,000 in December for his scouting services and $26,000 to Lyles and/or his various scouting companies since 2008, will get a refund. Not likely.

I read that Lyles Complete Scouting Service is still online. I googled it and found a decent site. Hhmmmm.
