Rumor Alert: Not confirmed via trusted sports pubs. Found on sports talk shows and message boards/blogs: According to local media, Jefferson is not practicing. I don't have a link, but seen several posts with links to sports talk shows down in LA. Anyone have more insight? People are saying Miles is waiting on formal charges to see if arrests are made. If so, then Miles may (and historically has) kick the 4 players off the team - remember Flynn? If the player just face fines, they could be suspended for two-three games. Craziness! Again, this is all alleged and common message board chatter found on LSU and different Duck boards. Entirely possible this is being overplayed and the players are vindicated. Lee is #2 QB. He's a SR with three years of playing experience. He doesn't pose the running threat that JJ brings, but he's probably more accurate. He threw for 573 yards last season, 54/89 w/ 2 TD/1 INT. 2008 was a good year with 1873, 143/269 w/ 14 TD, 16INT. He's never had positive rushing yards on a season.

Hard to say. I think our team is ready for anything. Oregon has been preparing for weeks for Jefferson - so that's a bit of a twist. I would expect it's a major timing issue for the Tigers. Jefferson was a good runner. Lee looks like he's got rocks tied to his feet but his accuracy is better. I think Miles is a great coach and Jefferson gives them the best chance to win. If this all comes to pass, Josh Downs (6'1" 280) is their starting DT, Davenport (6'4" 310)was expected to start at OT due to injuries - and they could be suspended too. Those big hogs are going to be missed, but they are fairly deep. When you play Oregon, you want all your bigs healthy and in the mix, otherwise Oregon will run you down....
If you read what a lot of LSU fans think, they'd rather see Lee start. Atleast from what I'm gathering.
Interesting. Jefferson is a good matchup for us -- not accurate and we have the speed to pursue him when he rushes. Lee is more of an unknown (hot and cold) but he's no Tuel, Katz, Locker, Luck. Gotta love the fact our DB's and S have to go up against Thomas and LMJ in practice.
Seems like we have more problems with bigger more agile and athletic QBs like Newton and Pryor. aka black QBs
The good news is our defense practices everyday against a bigger, agile and athletic black quarterback.
2010 Oregon won 52-31. Luck went 29/46, 241 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTS w/ 1 sack. Thomas was 20/29 with 3 TD's and 2 INTS w/ 0 sacks. 2009 Stanford won 51-42. Luck went 12/20, 251 yards, 2 TDs. Masoli was 21/37, 334 yards w/ 3 TDs. Gerhart killed us w/ 3TDs and 223 yards.
taking nothing away from their off tackle ground attack that day, but Luck averaging 20 yards a completion had a lot to do with that loss too. Dude beat excellent coverage again and again with perfect throws. He's a beast STOMP
