Re: UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Condit (Oct. 29th)

DFW has dismissed the idea of Fitch taking Condit's place vs. Penn, but that might be a smokescreen.

Apparently Dana has something "crazy" planned.

Donald Cerrone wants to jump up and fight Penn.

    I'd be down with that!

Greg Jackson has bowed-out of helping either GSP or Condit train, predictably.

According to the UG's insider, two fighters being considered to replace Condit vs. Penn are Marquardt and Alves. Strange but true.

Re: UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Condit (Oct. 29th)

Fitch claims he's been cleared to fight by the time this event rolls around. Don't think there is an opponent for him, though.

I don't quite understand how Roop/Hioki is on the PPV portion of this card. Could they slot Fitch in vs. somebody instead?

Kind of short notice. In any case I don't expect to see him here.

Re: UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Condit (Oct. 29th)

Diaz-Penn is nearly as good but I really wanted to see if Diaz could beat GSP. Love Condit but I think Diaz has better odds against GSP.

Diaz-Penn is great though, who do you guys think is the favorite? Both great boxers with great BJJ.

In a three round fight, Penn is the favourite, IMHO.

    Five rounds- Diaz.

These guys have trained together, too, which to me suggests there won't be much of a feeling out process. Just have at it.

Re: UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Condit (Oct. 29th)

I think a great move by the UFC. Cerrone and Siver should be full of excitement, and is a great way to try to get more PPV buys. Cerrone and Siver should be excited, because they have a chance for more people to watch them now, and that can only lead to more people seeing how great both guys are.

Re: UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Condit (Oct. 29th)

BJ Penn has described this event as a four-man welterweight title tournament and says his fight with Nick Diaz is the true main event of the card.

Hate to say I agree with him on both counts.
