Dan Henderson asked to rematch Anderson Silva for the show on FOX in November. At one point the UFC was considering it. That didn't go through but he is still interested in the rematch. Dan Henderson wants to keep his Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship and defend it within that promotion rather than drop the belt and move full-time to the UFC. Dan Henderson wants to return to the UFC and is open to a title unification bout with the LHW champion. It seems he's in line behind Rashad Evans, however. Evans/Hendo doesn't make sense for Evans, who risks his title shot for a second time. He can't really gain anything by beating Henderson besides building on what is a pretty decent career resume. The only fight I think Evans would consider at this point short of a title shot would be a rematch with Machida (who seems reluctant to comply).

Hendo is too strong and has a great Greco-Roman wrestling base. I think he'd just smother and bully Shogun to death.

Gilbert Melendez looks like just a matter of time. Their biggest draw left is Gina Carano. Feels like after the HW grand prix the UFC might just snatch up Barnett, Cormier, Werdum, and Bigfoot.

With the UFC grabbing the good talent from Strikeforce as they see fit now, since all of the money is coming from the same place, it makes you wonder why in the hell Showtime would want to keep Strikeforce. At this point it doesn't even seem as profitable of an organization as Bellator. Dana White has never made it a secret that he hates the "Showtime guys," and I'm imagining this is just a way to get rid of Strikeforce, but be able to blame Showtime.
