"This time it wasn't Dwyane Wade face-to-face with David Stern. Instead, Sunday night it was the Miami Heat guard going against the NBA commissioner on Twitter. With the NBA inviting questions to its Twitter account in advance of a Monday meeting of team representatives to consider the league's lockout latest offer, Wade got himself to the front of the line among the league's 3 million followers for the 80-minute session. "Why," Wade asked in Twitter form, "are all your 'system solutions' only impacting the PLAYERS?? What have the owners giving up of significance??" Moments later in the 140-characters-or-less forum, the league responded, "The economics & system favored the players in prior CBA -- Teams lost over 300m last year." While there was no name attached to the response, the league promoted earlier in the day that Stern and Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver would be answering the questions. Last month, Wade and Stern got into a heated exchange during a negotiating session in New York over what Wade perceived as an arrogant approach from Stern, with Stern reportedly pointing a finger at Wade and Wade calling the commissioner by his first name.
