Guaranteed, gonna be a lot of fun! Just wanted to get a basic idea of how many will be there so that I can plan accordingly with the Claim Jumper staff. The Happy Hour will take place on/at: Friday, February 17th Claim Jumper Tualatin 18000 Southwest Lower Boones Ferry Road Tualatin, OR 97224 (503) 670-1975 The timeframe will be somewhere between 4 PM - 7 PM. Still working on the Chad Buchanan Meet & Greet, though, which may be wrapped into or around this time-frame. I'll update as I get confirmations. This is a very relaxing and event where Wheels and Vance will be engage with the audience - answering questions, telling a joke or three, generally having a good time with all of us. Those of you who have been to a Wheels Happy Hour know exactly what I'm talking about. Throw in Vance and, well, who knows WHAT will take place! Naturally, food and beverage will be available for purchase. Hopefully, see you there! NOTE: If you bring a guest(s), please let me know how many in your party.
Feb 17th? Ok, I can't change my vote but it's a maybe now. Depends on if we are still going out of town from the 15th-17th. Family beach trip thanks to a sweet deal on Groupon. But, it depends if I find work...and money.
Can I please have my own table? The HCP doesn't really want to sit with any of you guys if he doesn't have to. Easier to sign autographs as well.
I'll need at least 25-30 folks if I'm gonna be able to secure the Claim Jumper.....especially on a Friday night (according to them.)
Hopefully, we're looking at more than 11 folks there. I did my part to get Vance there, as well. Is there really that little interest in this event??
I'm really excited that Kenny Vance has decided to come. For those of you who aren't familiar with him he used to be the Blazer beat reporter for the Columbian for many years. He covered the team during the Jail Blazer era and has some amazing stories, including when Sabonis and Rasheed went to blows in the Blazer locker room and some of the crazy stuff Rider did on road trips. It's always great to see Wheels but because he still works for the Blazers he's somewhat limited on the dirt he can dish. Kenny has no such limitations. It's not often you get a behind the scenes look at what happened during one of they most interesting eras in Blazer history.
Lanny and Butlermax will be there and if you're still short on people you can always put this out on twitter the day of the event. Personally I think the smaller the better so maybe we could have it at the place in LO where we held the first Meet & Greet and Wheels get together.
I'd just go with that then. You've told people about it. If they want to miss out on a great time fuck 'em, well have fun without them.
I pretty much have until the week of the event. I'm gonna keep bumping this thread for the folks that aren't here quite as much as us. Wheels really loved having it at CJ.
