OL is stacked for Oregon, so while I don't like losing a target to UW, I can understand it in terms of the PSA's perspective.

The "Woof!" thing by Sark on Twitter is just stupid, though. What a cheeseball.

I can't wait for the Cal alums who are watching their top recruits that were verballed there two weeks ago all trickling to UW lash out.... They went from having Ellis, Shaq and potentially AA plus a handful of decent recruits and four of them have all ready bolted three of them to UW. We thought the Lyles thing was a pain in the ass, wait till the NCAA investigates this Tosh mess! I'm telling ya it's of course "my opinion" but it's coming!

I agree with you that our secondary much like DAT were baptized under fire last year and for the most part did pretty well! They were kids and played against men with LSU and against arguably the best two receivers they'll see in college in USC, but the one part that still concerns me is height and strength. USC recievers wont get shorter and they simply outjumped our secondary in big plays. That's why a player with Shaq's size and speed is so desired. Now I KNOW there are alot of those type of secondary players all over Florida, Alabama and New Orleans who haven't been offered big time spots with the SEC monster teams that we could coach up here in Oregon and make into a lethal secondary with. For now our secondary will toe the line, but to win national championships our defense needs to do more than not to break, they need to intimidate and we're not there yet!

Sark and UW are shady as hell as well

Triple the salary of a coach so he can influence his recruits to go to your school instead of the school they already committed to

    Funny

Ducks were 40th in pass efficiency defense, and of the Top 50 in that category, gave up the most TD passes. Amount of plays must be factored into this, though, and amount of possession.

Being 4th in sacks is fantastic, but it is also a product of blitzing and leaving CBs on an island.

Plus, of the three teams ahead of Oregon in sacks, Texas aTm (51 sacks) was 67th in pass efficiency, Cincinnati (46 sacks) was 44th in pass efficiency, and Michigan (45 sacks) was 36th in pass efficiency.

Not sure what your sacks post had to do with anything, actually, regarding CB play and pass defense. Were you trying to prove a point? Amount of sacks doesn't really tell much about D-line play, unless you factor in other variables.

Looks like we just offered Julian Brooks.

A sign that we aren't getting Addison? Johnson? Both?

UPDATE: eDuckCCourtney RT @bperroni: I think Addison is set on Oregon right now but ties to TAMU could help sway him back RT @DWag215: What are you thinking?

Seems to me we have a lot of WR offers...

Mickens to UW. He runs a 4.55 40. Whoopty freaking do...

Shaq has some serious competition for that Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl MVP trophy? I like how this kid couldn't get the grades to get into Oregon, but was accepted to UW. Nice.

    Darelle Revis 5'11"
    Joe Haden 5'11"
    Jonathan Joseph 5'11"
    Carlos Rogers 6'0"
    Patrick Peterson 6'0"

Some of the best corner backs in the NFL are 6 feet and under.

    Terrance Mitchell 6'0"
    Troy Hill 5'11"
    Ifo-Ekpre Olumu 5'10"

You're right they do need to get stronger, but \ these guys are young and Coach Neal is one of the best in the business. I expect we will see them improve a lot.

DuckTerritory RT @JHopkins247: Couple late evening #Oregon developments (recruiting) http://t.co/HgwbhAzX via @247Sports #Ducks

Anyone know what's going down? Not sure it's much more than Julian Brooks, who also received an offer from UCLA.

in the USC game Oregon's top sack artist (Dion Jordan) was dinged early on and barely played. That was an understated but significant development

valid point. Hopefully the depth we are bringing in with this class will lessen the drop off if injuries do happen. And then help make our secondary loo even better :)

    Couple things.

    1. Brooks got an offer, but also from UCLA.

    2. Addison is wavering and his Dad is giving him second thoughts about going all the way to Eugene.

    3. Brostek is off the board (obviously).

    4. He has sources saying that Shaq may have committed to Washington but it's definitely not over for Oregon. He goes on to say that it's a long shot but you never know. The other poster Division1a also heard the same thing and says he has different sources than Justin.

    5. Harper has gone quiet and there are apparently other factors at play, and his confidence level in him coming here are lower.

There's a chance we really don't come up with anybody new on signing day.

    That is all.

Wow, that would be painful... However, with AA I feel like this has been a successful year.

For what it's worth, Addison's Twitter indicates he has made a choice:

Tomorrow is a big day for me and I just want to say thanks to everyone out there who has done something for me in the past or.present! And no matter what school I choose I hope there aren't any hard feelings the choice I will make is the best choice academically first and athletic wise second that me and my family decided was best so.again I.just want to say thanks and god bless to everyone

The giant thumb with the stupid gigem phrase looms large... Is it a goodbye? Guess we will know shortly.

Here's hoping something falls our way.

You are 100% right on this account IMO, the ducks defense would have been higher ranking but they played 30% more plays then most defenses and that adds up the total yardage quickly.
