If POR wins the lotto and I'm Anthony Davis, I'm going back to UK for soph year or covering myself in bubble wrap for a long, long time.

Always draft best available. Especially in the lottery!

Sullinger or Beal could be available with this pick.

    Nice!

    Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Our deal today motivated me to look at the prospects. Of the bigs, the only one who seems to have great physical tools and energy is Thomas Robinson but he is projected at #3 so forget that. To me, Henson, who is projected at #9 might be a good choice; already great defensively and as a rebounder and might still have the potential offensively.
Shooting guards, well not sure why Beal is rated so high, he's not shooting so well, especially from three point. Lamb seems weak and not intense enough.
Actually my two favorites should be available, Henson and Damian Lillard but if we could luck out and get #4 with the NJ pick, I would sure try to trade up for Robinson.
I'm not interested in Sullinger or Zeller for lack of upside and Drummond and either of the Jones' for lack of intensity.

We're 3.5 games out of the eighth spot. NJ is 4.5 games away. Better stay that way or get worse. I want two lotto picks.

We want them to stay close to where they are..... 4 or 5 range..... we don't want them to improve their chances at winning a top 3 spot and we don't want them to fall further in the lottery.

I wouldn't mind them winning a few more games actually. Right now, they have a 30% chance of moving to top 3 from the 5th worst record.

I'm not impressed with this Kevin Jones kid for West Virginia. He's listed as a late 1st. I just don't see it. Ugly jumper, big wide body, but gets out hustled.

Perry Jones has me worried. I had Baylor going to Elite 8.

Agreed. I really liked how Terrence Jones looked, but am terrified he'll turn out to be a tweener who has an exceptional tourney then becomes Tyrus Thomas.

It seems like that sentiment has been echoed about a lot of the prospects in this draft, which is why I said a while ago it had become overrated.

To me, Austin Rivers has it written all over him. As does Anthony Davis.

    Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects

Sullinger and Lamb would be nice. There's issues with both, but I think Sullinger could be Love type and Lamb has the tools to be a great 2nd option in time.

Beal is young and has been comin on as of late but I think he's too similar to Batum as he doesn't really show much advanced scoring moves. Lamb is also like Batum in that he's too passive, but I think he complements him better skill wise. And I think Thomas Robinson doesn't fit as well with Aldridge as Sullinger does while also being more easily attainable. Both aren't ideal though.
