I've done this in the past, but it's always more exciting when we have a lottery pick (even if it's because we had a poor year previously). The thinking here is to decide who the Blazers would pick at the currently-polled spot. Pick based on the current roster, even if it's unrealistic that the team could move up without making changes. If the guy you'd prefer isn't listed, vote for "other" and comment on who you'd pick. Ideally I'll change the options, although I don't anticipate too many "others" winning. I'm going to list the most likely candidates based on information I have at the time of the post for the spot, and the results will accumulate over time, influencing who's available at later spots. I plan on having each pick up for a day or two. Ideally, we'll end up with the community's "top 11" list, in order of preference, just in time for the draft on June 28.
Haha. The fun thing about this kind of series of polls is that we can see how early he would take him. Would he take Beal at #2? Ed O.
For the record... I'd have a hard time choosing between Beal and Robinson at #2. But seeing how weak our frontcourt is and the weak crop of PF/C in the next two drafts, I'll go Robinson!
Yes, this poll is who the Blazers should pick if they had the #1 pick overall. #2 is tomorrow. And I agree the first one is easy. We needed to get the kinks worked out of the voting system before it gets more interesting Ed O.
I'm functionally illiterate and thought it meant "who does Portland pick first". That said, Lillard is so far away from our usual fare at #1 that I'd take him if I felt the curse was real.
I know that having a big list for what is a pretty clear #1 was a bit confusing... but we'll get this down and by the time we get to picks #5, 6, 7, etc., it should be pretty interesting! Ed O.
I still want and vote Jae Crowder of Marquette... (But I will wait for the 2nd round) but if we are going #1 I will gamble on Anthony Davis... (poor guy will have physical problems though if we draft him at #1) better let NOH do it
