Re: UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 (Jul/7) Fuckin chael got all fancy with his back fist and got put in a bad situation Whats next for him? Chael goes to light heavyweight? Mean street pizza is a bag of meh... The location used to be a pizza shmizza and it still looks like a pizza schmizza
Re: UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 (Jul/7) Its nice to know that Silva can land a knee to a grounded opponent.
Re: UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 (Jul/7) It was legal. I thought he kneed him in the face when I saw it live (as did almost everyone I watched it with), but the replay showed he clearly kneed him in the sternum.
Re: UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 (Jul/7) Don't understand what made Chael drop. He got up after the knee, avoided a couple of punches from Silva but then just went down. Really strange end to the fight.

It actually wasn't because Silva held the fence for leverage on the knee. He cheated like crazy in that fight.

Re: UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen 2 (Jul/7) He was hurt before he threw that elbow. Anderson nailed him with a quick right (I believe it was a right) as Sonnen was pressuring him and coming forward and from that point on he was on wobbly feet. That spinning back fist was pure desperation, he was done before he even threw it.
I don't think he actually used the fence for leverage on the knee: Looks like he lunged before he touched the fence and his hand merely pressed against the fence to stop his momentum IMO.
