This is a very, very solid move. We need a backup PG. We need toughness, we need defense, we could use a combo type of guard who can play with Curry, another ball handler with some kind of dynamic element to their game. We need someone who is willing to be a backup to Curry but we would be comfortable with if they had to step in and start for stretches.

Jack is all of that. Hes a big, gritty guard who came into the league as more of a defense/floor general but has improved his shooting and muscles his way around down low. The FO said they wanted to add toughness and they did just that with this acquisition. Jack is a capable floor general and scores in crafty ways. You can let him run the offense and have Steph working off the ball. Hes everything we wanted in our backup PG/reserve G acquisition, aside from perhaps being an elite athlete.

Jack is underrated. I'm shocked NO got rid of him. Gordon-Rivers is going to be atrocious.

You guys got a great role player.

How does Jarrett Jack float around the fringes yet Derek Fisher remains a guy getting huge minutes in the Finals??? That part of NBA personnel I will never figure out. Yeah Fisher hit some huge shots and maybe that's enough but in the regular season all I see are flops and boneheaded drives to the rim only to get swatted.
