A report out of Andris Biedrins' home country of Latvia says the Warriors center is in hot water for evading taxes. Aiga Senberga, a spokeswoman for the Latvian state prosecutor's office, told AFP that a case has been launched against Biedrins.

Latvia's State Revenue Service said the case, which revolves around the alleged creation of a bogus leisure-hire company as a work-around to avoid paying taxes on a Malibu Wakesetter boat, could last three years.

Biedrins is being charged with two other people for evading taxes on 11,500 lats, or $20,000. If found guilty, the offenses could carry jail time up to five years.

If Latvia wants to punish him, don't give him jail, just make him shoot 11,500 free throws. He'll be out in 10.

Actually, this would suck. We need him this year.

No, I'd rather see McGuire guard Bynum than Biedrins. Seriously.

As bad as Biedrins sucked, I think he can redeem himself. It's like that bout that Tyson Chandler had where he just sucked (mostly due to injury and out of shape) but now he's like a coveted, defensive player of the year type of role player. Biedrins could still be that guy. He needs to get that confidence and swagger back like the time he used to try and dunk everything. The guy was fearless. He just needs to fearless on defense and to stop committing stupid panic fouls or jumping at people. He'll be good if he keeps things simple on offense and puts effort on the defensive side.

Plus, Bogut is a pro center, he could teach Beans a few things that nobody on the team could.

maybe if he gets convicted and has to do some time, we can void his contract. on a side note, a few days ago this girl i know sent me a picture of biedrins in his back seat getting head from some hoe at the club. dude needs to get his priorities in order...he's not good enough to be pulling groupie hoes at the club right now.
