Arsenal open their 2012-13 campaign next Saturday hosting Sunderland at The Grove. Sunderland have added Cuéllar over the summer and little else. Arsenal are likely to field a lineup devoid of new signings, keeping Cazorla, Podolski, and Giroud on the bench for the beginning of the season--supposing Robin van Persie is still with the squad.

Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Koscielny, Giroud, Cazorla, and a few others are going to be game-time decisions.

Bit rusty today. Not much to say about that game. Sunderland parked the bus and we couldn't convert our chances.

Cazorla is a spark plug. Best player on the pitch today. He's going to endear himself pretty quickly.

I watched the game. Thought if Cazorla was the best player, Gervihno was def the second best. Giroud shoulda scored his chance

Didn't watch it, but Arsenal must be awful if they can't beat Newcastle's noisy neighbours!
