With 3 days till the trade deadline, I thought it would be a good idea to keep all the rumours and news in one thread. I'll try to keep it about the NBA but probably focus on the Raptors (ie. Bargnani).

Lots of Josh Smith rumblings out there too, seems like Atlanta has to move him or watch him walk.

Boozer to Nets, Humphries to Charlotte, Gordon to Bulls works in the trade machine. It's a rumor I read a few days ago.

    The under-the-radar rumor

The Portland Trail Blazers will enter the stretch run at 25-28, having lost five games in a row and falling to ninth in the Western Conference playoff picture, three games behind the eighth-place Rockets and just a half-game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers.

It’s not a big surprise to see the Blazers unravel a bit at this point of the season, because their leading scorer has been rookie Damian Lillard and their bench has been epically terrible—their leading reserves are Luke Babbitt and Meyers Leonard, who average 4.2 points each, and Leonard is the only bench player shooting above 40.5 percent.

A move to bolster the reserves and give Portland a better shot at a playoff spot seems a good idea. But the Blazers have a long-term plan, and they want to keep cap space for next summer. That’s a bit of a bummer for All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

“I feel like they’re not going to try to make any quick fixes this year,” Aldridge said. “I feel like they want to take this year and get the young guys better, get guys experience. So I don’t think they will make a move, I think they want to run it out with these guys.”

That could mean a wasted year of Aldridge in his prime, though. He understands that.

“I definitely want to increase my chances,” he said, “but they have a plan they’re trying to follow.”

Gordon for Bargnani doesn't make a lot of sense for the Raps. Gordon is a nice bench scorer but he adds to our redundancy. If we trade Bargs we need to be getting back one of or a combination of backup PG, backup or starting PF, or backup C.

Raps trying to pawn Linas Kleiza off on someone--anyone--rather than use their amnesty provision on him this summer.

The only players we can really use the amnesty on are Kleiza, Bargnani and Amir (yea right). Who are we saving it for? I'm guessing no one wants LK and he'll end up being the lucky guy since I'm assuming Bargnani has more value than him.

Doug Smith saying the Raptors may wait till the summer to trade AB but this guy also said there was no way we would get Gay and literally 2 days later the trade goes through so take his "sources" with a grain of salt.

Smith has no sources. He's part of the machine. He routinely gets scooped by Adrian Woj and other actual NBA reporters.

Luke Ridnour would be a great backup for the Raps, He has his flaws defensively but I've always like his game.

Telfair keeps coming up. With the way JL3 is playing right now that would be a slap in the face.

The Phoenix Suns have been in discussions with the Toronto Raptors about a trade for Sebastian Telfair.

The Raptors could use depth at point guard following their trade of Jose Calderon.

Rockets still on that power forward binge.

Robinson must be thrilled to be getting away from the Kings.

Kings save 4 mil. Gave up a top 5 pick after half a season for monetary savings only. Classic Magoofs

wow, that's a pretty bad trade. Robinson probably won't end up being that great but on potential only you could probably get a team to give you a first round pick in return. Why even draft the guy..
