Boy, I don't think either player has shown enough (because they have hardly played). Jason Maxiell only played 159 minutes this season and averaged close to nothing. And Amir Johnson only played 39 minutes all season and only played in 3 games. I just don't think Jason Maxiell is that good but from what Pistons fans have said, they believe Amir Johnson is a first round type talent. Amir Johnson was born 1 day after I was born, he's just a baby.

I have seen Maxiell play at Cincinnati and Amir Johnson in the High School all-american game. If I had to pick, it would be based on potential. I would pick Amir Johnson because he is more athletic and is versitile.
In Amir's playing time he has shown more then Maxiell, as you may remember BCB in a game that didn't matter against the Bucks where he had 18 points without missing a shot. I think that he has some sick athleticism, and if he can put on some muscle he has some stuff going for him in this league.
To me Maxiell can be a beast in this league at the same time he can be a Jerome Williams type player for the Pistons. I think Maxiell has more offense than Jerome but honestly I don't see him becoming a superstar caliber type player. On the other hand I have been praising Amir Johnson for a while now, to me he just seems to be one of those players that turns into a future star. Right now to me he could become into the next Tracy McGrady(given the right coaching and playing time). I think this year Saunders should give Amir a chance to baCk up Tayshaun and Maxiell to get some run if McDyess is in foul trouble or to create matchup problems. To answer the question ont eh topic I would pick Amir HoLLa baCk
