Who's your pick for the better QB? They are now head to head in the Heisman race.. Manziel 1, Marcus 2....

I think Manziel always looks like he's running for his life, and chucking passes into the air. Johnny's game against Bama was more lucky for his stats than he is good. The one play I'm sure we've all seen where the Bama D lineman had him dead to rights and lost touch of his jersey and Manziel flings one in the air while being hit by another Bama player for a completion really could have ended up super ugly for A&M. The Aggies had no one back if Bama's secondary had picked that off.

That said he's got a great arm and knows how to make some nice passes and he's really fast.

Marcus also is gifted fast and has nice touch on his ball. I think it's also safe to say had Marcus played more than 2 1/2 quarters he probably would have thrown 600 yards. I think at some point Helfrich is going to have to let Marcus stay in a whole game so the country can see what a full game looks like for Mariota.

On a pro level I think Manziel is fools gold. Pro secondary's will tear him apart. Marcus fits the profile for what NFL teams want in a QB. Height, arm, speed, IQ. Marcus may need another year to lead before going to the NFL is his only drawback, which is GREAT for DUCK fans.

I don't see Manziel coming back next year. His ego is to large. Who knows maybe Marcus and Manziel could meet up and decide it on the field this year. Stranger things have happened.

    Thoughts?

I would take Marcus. I don't like Manziel at all. Dude has a huge ego. I will enjoy seeing him get lit up in the NFL. I also think the Ducks are the vastly better team though. Doesn't seem like A&M has many weapons outside of Manziel.

Agreed! If Manziel's not running around the field like a Chinese fire drill till the defenses dizzy and throwing one skyward what would their playbook look like?

Dude has star power, but his success has gone to his head. I like that Mariota is a chill dude.

Manziel is becoming an ego maniac and would no take him in the first round. 3rd round? Absolutely though.

Marcus has all the physical tools though, and his body is much like Kaepernick or Cam Newton and many NFL teams are into the running QB now.

For which team I want Marcus to go to? Either San Diego Chargers(my team), or Patriots to succeed Tom Brady.

nitpicking, but saying he's an NFL draft scout sounds like he works for an NFL team. Isn't he just a Bleacher Report blogger?

I don't care how much money they put into advertising, bleacher report will never carry much weight.

IDK but his handle says that, so you'd have to ask him. I started following him because Jhopkins and Rob Moseley follow him. He could very much be only a blogger and not an NFLdraftscout. His handle is @nfldraftscout which would be odd if he were a fraud. Just saying.

But neither do opinions of fans from a team message board.

Exactly. So then why the sudden reason to disfavor something you deem uncredible? I'm just letting others know what opinions are being thrown out there besides our own fanbase.

I didn't say anything about disfavor. I like to see people's opinions, but for someone to call themselves a scout without actually being employed by a team would be kind of.... lame.

We win out and Mariota wins the Heisman, IMO.

I heard that Favre was a party boy, gun slinger, runner in college at Southern Miss as well. An old school football guy was on the radio saying that Manziel reminds him exactly of Favre when he was in college from their play, to their party boy antics.

It's hard to say. Manzel has a stronger arm and he's a great competitor. Marriota is more stable and probably makes better decisions.

I thought Manziel was shorter than he is. Dude doesn't look 6'1.
