    Not a punk, just out-of-touch.

The early part of the article is about his 8 Orlando years. Inevitably, the Laker-centric media turns most of the article toward his 1 Laker year.

Maybe he was a punk to the Magic, but he is our hero in teaching Laker fans some humility.

Isn't he in the top 3 Magic players in history? I can only think of (top of my head) 2 others arguably better: Penny and Shaq.

Shaq punked the Magic, but he had no qualms like Howard, so it didn't drag on. Howard interprets Christianity to be an avoidance of decisiveness.

Tracy McGrady had his best years in Orlando. didn't lead them anywhere though.

But it's interesting we're ripping on a player who is complaining about his #, when people here went ape-shit about the prospect of Watson wearing #7

I will forever admire Dwight Howard for dumping the Lakers. He was the first "super-star" to do that, and for that reason he will always have a soft spot in my heart.

    Otherwise, he's a jerk.

I just read that as "Comb".

But indeed, that seems to be the case.

No, I think he's saying that the fans went apeshit over someone else wearing #7. (It was Mo though, not Watson)

I think Portland is different though... Orlando is within spitting distance of three NFL teams, two MLB teams, one other NBA team, and one? NHL team. We just have the Blazers and now the Timbers. People here freak out about a lot of things that most cities wouldn't give a shit about.

I think the biggest problem I see with Howard is he wants all the attention, yet doesn't know what to do with pressure. I think this maybe a problem in Houston as well. The playoffs maybe a huge problem for the Rockets. I don't see Howard in the same light as the other great centers. He just is too immature and primadonna to be a player you can count on.
