Obviously this is purely hypothetical but I want to gauge the sentiment around here.

I want to trade Wade. I don't think he'll hold up, I don't want to risk him holding or not holding up. I don't want to deal with the drama, heck I'm not even a fan of the guy off the court either.

So would you trade Wade for Aldridge straight up? Throw in some role players no one cares about if you must, but you get the gist of it.

    Too old.

    Not enough in the tank.

    Injury prone.

I'm guessing you're the one who voted "yes"

I wouldn't even entertain the thought of an Aldridge/Wade deal.

Wade's numbers are significantly better at BBR.

Oh yes I think the Blazers should keep LA over Wade. What I was wondering is how the rest of the people here think.

No. Adding Wade to this team does nothing if Aldridge is gone. Plus, he's making a shit ton of money, so we would have to send out Aldridge AND filler. Makes no sense for the Blazers, and why would Miami want Aldridge if they have Bosh?

I would consider Wade for Batum and Wes though. I don't think Wade would want to come here, in the end.

Miami plays position-less ball, they can start both Bosh and Aldridge. LeBron at the 3, Ray/whoever at the 2, Chalmers/Cole at the 1.

I'd hold off on Batum because I think Miami can trick some other team into giving up more.

    Bosh is a stretch four.

You're probably right, I'm just saying the Blazers would be foolish to deal for Wade unless they're keeping Aldridge. The whole point would be to have Lillard, Wade, and Aldridge.

They play Battier at the four in the playoffs, who has a lower rebound rate than Ray Allen.

A cheaper alternative would be Channing Frye.

    He fits the bill.

There was a time when Miami would be crazy to do this. Now Portland would be crazy to do it. I'm not exactly sure when those lines crossed to where it was about even, maybe before the lockout season?

As much as I like Wade. I agree with a few other posters thoughts on him. I would think younger if and when moving LA. LA is a valuable asset. And I obviously think you can a bit for him.

Sure I'd take a chance on him, but I wouldn't depend on him either.

As an Aldridge critic who thinks he's overrated, I vote...to keep him.

That's because I've always thought Wade was overrated, too.

I also think that half the members of this board deserve pay cuts at their jobs.

If I have to take another paycut for posting here I'm moving on to the ESPN boards.
