Hello every one im just wondering was religion forced on you since you were young you actually enjoy your religion or you honestly can give 2 fucks about it? I was forced but ive come to know its not that bad im not a religious freak but some things are pretty cool not going to say my religion due to i really dont have time for childish rants about religion being stupid post your religion at your own risk im not involved Edit not forced for me but its all i was introduced to
I actually wasn't forced, but invited. I fought it a lot though; going in goth attire and trying to look more like a devil worshiper than a Christian. One service, I felt compelled to go to the alter and started crying uncontrollably. I was led to The Lord that day and never looked back.
Fuck anyone that has childish rants. Be proud of what you believe in; unless it's liking the Lakers. Then you can burn in Hell!
Forced, especially with regards to the shotgun wedding that is Catholic confirmation. I think the writer/comedian John Mulaney said it best, you can tell someone went to Catholic school because he/she is an atheist. It's neither here nor there but the school priest at my high school is currently up on charges of sexual assault and exploitation.
I was introduced at an early age, accepted Christ and then rebelled. I was in a love hate relationship for a couple of decades and am ashamed to say that I cursed God for positions and conditions I had allowed myself to get into. With age I mellowed and again started down the path with God in my mind and my hart. I was luke warm for several years, but was inspired by ABM to really get back in step with the lord.
Raised non-religious, but attended a Billy Graham crusade when I was 13. Started going to church shortly thereafter completely of my own volition, and made my decision for Christ as a teenager.
My parents were non-religious, and my extended family at least pretended to be and freaked me out, so i never had much use for it and still don't.
