we're 9 games up on the 9 seed (MIN) with 51 to play.

Insurmountable? Nope. But I don't think that MIN, NOP or DEN are .170 Win% better than us. That's the difference between a .500 team and a 54-win team.

When the Blazers have their bench unit in with Lillard, they may as well just set a quadruple screen for him and let him shoot 35 foot 3 pointers every damn play. At least it we'll get the shot off and it won't be a turnover, and we'll be in position to get back on defense. If he makes 33% of them, that'll be like 50% from 2pt range and it'll be a lot better than the shit we're seeing.

That is not 'contender' traits. I realize they are trying to defend the 3-pt line and that is great when they themselves are smoking from '3'. But that percentage is slowly, steadily dropping and now the real tried and true traits are starting to show up. The outside shot is the first thing to go and defense wins championships. Portland is at odds with both of those things and will have to make some adjustments.

The sky is not falling....this is something some have been pointing out from almost the beginning of the season. It's fun to win games when you're shooting 45-50+% from '3' but historically, that is not going to last.

I'm not sure that a defensive big coming off the bench will really do that much for us. The bench just needs to trade buckets with our opponents. It's our starters that need to improve their D, they play the most minutes and are the ones in the game in the 4th. Our pick n roll defense and help defense are atrocious.

It's one of the main arguing points in the forum.

People point out flaws like defense, bench, front court depth experience, relying too much on the 3 and others slam them for being trolls because of the record

We have a better chance of Roy coming out of retirement then blowing out OKC. This team isn't built to blow anyone out

You have to have your best passer that is not Lillard inbound the ball. Unfortunately that is Batum. We needed Andre Miller....

    We blew Philly out
OKC is without Westbrook, so you never know.....Then again Miami was without Lebron and Birdman on the second night of a back to back

Roy is prohibited from joining us until 2015. Therefore, there's a better chance that you and I are signed to veteran minimum contracts and combine for 55 points tomorrow in a blowout of OKC than Roy coming out of retirement to help us.

Certainly people are pointed out as trolling because regardless if what they are talking about is correct or not its not their intention of creating a valid discussion about it but instead to create a hot button topic to get under peoples skin.
No one here is going to argue that our D doesn't suck and our bench has proven lackluster and we have a lack of depth at certain positions

Nobody around here has said that the Blazers don't have flaws. Cripes, nobody expected them to be as good as they've been...well except Mags and you have to make allowances for him. The real question for you fun folks who seem to exist for no other reason than to point out the Blazers' short comings is what the hell do you want to do about them? OISG exists in a demented world of throwing out a trade that has no chance of happening and then ragging on continuously against the Blazers because they don't pull off his goofy idea. You, MM, never seem to progress past the point where you wanted to trade Aldridge and tank. That didn't happen, so what the fuck do you want the team to do?

Btw..... How many close games in a row is that now? Are we on the verge of another massive losing streak like last year? Good thing bobcats and sixers are coming up

I'd submit that since two of our starters aren't out with injuries, Sasha/Jeffries are gone and Leonard and Freeland have improved, that we probably won't have a 13-game losing streak.

And if we did, we'd still be seeded in the playoffs.
