I think I have some room to take a hit on my reputation here so...I just have some trouble talking. I'm too shy or something. I got my little group of firends but I know a bunch of other people I wished I'd talk to more.First I'd like to get to the basics: I absolutely hate when people ask What's Up? What the hell am I supposed to say? I'm a boring guy and at 9AM there's really not much to say, but how many f*cking times and I supposed to say nothing or nothing much before it gets a little retarded? When people ask that is that a form of "hello" or do they really give a sh*t what's up? lolAnd I always find myself in trouble after I say hello? What next? If it isn't a guy or there was no game on the previous day I have no idea what to freakin talk about. One of the old school ways I was taught it when a girl does something funny, just look at them weird and a laugh just a little bit. Then they will notice you then. After that maybe ask her a question about school, and/or if you see them with a book, or a magazine or hear them talking about something you know about, start a conversation about that. Then after that you should be pretty comfortable talking to her. And when people say "whats up", what I do is say"whats up" and keep walking btw, im shy also and it works for me
Well nasser, welcome to the real social world. When people say whats up to me as their first greeting, I always say something like "Hey man- hows it going". I guess I don't answer it as a question but to answer your question, I guess it is a form of "hello" if it is the first thing they say. Then I usually talk about sports, or something that happened at school, or make fun of people or something. For me, I am always talking, which gets me in trouble sometimes in school, but it makes me a lot of friends. I just be myself. Just tell them whatever is on your mind or maybe a story or something like that.
and fyi, im usually shy then I get alot better once u know meor sometimes im just not shyoh and btw, the best thing I do is try to be funny. its a good one to meet people but also I guess what I struggle with is some of them taking me more seroius when I want to be taken serious..
1.) Talk about them, People love talking about themselves so discuss there common interests. If you know they enjoy something.. Then talk about it. "Hey how is your soccer season going" Things like that work wonders.2.) Be a good listener, Acknowledge the fact that you heard them.3.) Approach people and YOU choose the convo, that way you are more relaxed with what you are talking about.4.) Balance the talking and listening. 5.) Ask questions.

I don't make fun of people though. Sometimes when I see Sidesh, the 60 pound Indian kid running with a backpack larger then him, I smile a bit with the friend I'm with and yeah. Sidesh beat me at tennis though so I can't say sh*t about him, lol. I make fun of my friends a little but that's it. Any other greetings I can use besides how's it going and what's up? And any other replies to how's it going besides good or bad? Hah, I'm a noob at talkin.

dont worry man, its not just you, everyone goes thru it sometimeyou don't have to be incredibly outgoing to make friends, just show an interest in life and the people around you..try to develop your personality to be more outgoing and smile and say hi to people, even when you don't feel like it.
