Yes they should. I was greedy earlier but now I just want 2 playoff games to go to. For me as a fan, nothing beat that playoff atmosphere. It's enough to have me buzzing about the game all day, yelling during the entire game and afterwards if the Blazers win. And if I can keep going, I don't ask much from my Blazers, but a playoff win would be nice. Blazers didn't get by the first round when they played the rockets, but being at that game when Roy led the comeback has been the best memory of all the games I have attended for the past 5 yrs . . . I could use another one of those please. (Like I said I don't ask for much, at least I don't think so)
I think what needs to be understood, and KS touched on it... is that we are all fans... but people have different "thresholds" of tolerance towards how far they are going to continue being positive before getting worried. KS is worried. I'm now worried. We come off as negative. I'm not going to say "well, we are telling the truth" because in reality, the truth hasn't been completely written. During the games, I tend to get emotional... and, if I may, I'd like to apologize for sometimes sounding like an asshole... I notice it, and will attend and rectify that. (Yuyuza, you especially. My bad.) I don't want to put up a thread announcing this, so I hope all of you can read that. It's funny, because every time after the games, I remember that it's just a silly game. But I need that to reflect on here. So again, if I may, apologies for my unwarranted actions.
It's all good, Strenuus. You are welcome to have an emotional response negative or positive in the way our team plays. Personally it doesn't affect me too much one way or the other.
Same. In my six years as a ticket holder, there is no better feeling than a playoff win. Do I want to see another 20 point comeback? No, I hope we don't ever get that far down in a playoff game again. However, that is the greatest game I've been to. I felt like my team could do anything. I have felt that way this year, too.....and I want to feel it again in the playoffs. They're capable of it.
What does it mean to "melt down all over this forum"? You might be misunderstanding people. People are concerned. We haven't played well since the first third of the season. People have every reason to be upset and express that without being attacked. That's what I think.
You never attacked me specifically. You made a general statement putting down people for "melting down." I stood up for the forum. And some people agreed with me.
There's the attack. Quite vicious and uncalled for actually. Especially when people are already down.
If we could just win a couple games, I think we'd be fine. They just need some confidence, kinda like when hitting free throws can give you confidence from the field. If we lose the next two, I don't think we'll make the playoffs. That's just the way it looks schedule wise, and tiebreaker wise, and the way the other teams are playing. We're not going to go on a magical win streak. As far LMA goes, it will take him time we don't have to regain his rhythm.
I think we take LAL, PHX, Sacremento, and New Orleans. Or, I should put it this way, we have to. lol. Cause those are our only winnable games left on the schedule (Utah on the road, seeing what happened tonight, doesn't feel that good even.) Here's hoping we do something like 8-3. But yikes.... they need to pick it up, and fast.
Sounds about right. YIKESS DIRK ALMOST HIT A HUGE SHOT. Anyway, yes we need to pick it up. 8-3 isn't possible though. There are only 10 games left.
I wonder if olshey will pursue a trade more aggressively if this team misses the playoffs. It would be two straight seasons where they collapsed late. I'd like to see Portland get out of Batum's contract.
