:tsktsk: Lundqvist has to stop that crumby goal and the defense has to stop acting like buffoons

Same shit will occur in Edmonton

Don't tell the board that, they'll think you're a chicken little, yet they all complain in the end anyways.

The team is fine. Lundqvist has been stellar. Bad game last night, they will win 6-2 vs Edmonton tomorrow.

My only worry really right now is St Louis he is garbage here

caged, u know i too thought same, but now i think differently. the hawks until dethroned are the team to beat, we beat them twice, so did sather do right thing? i know we have to get past east, but if somehow boston gets taken out, things would get very interesting!

yea i do, catch them off guard like the isles almost did vs pitt last year. Trust ME!!!! you don't want a team like boston to get momentum in PS, get them early! some of bostons key guys could get off to a bad start, thats when you can get em!

This may be the most negative board in all of sports. It really is amazing sometimes. I get it that we as Ranger fans always expect the worst based on our history, but my lord it is bad. We could win 70 in a row, and then lose and everyone would be ready to jump.

Bottom line is this team we were all worried about will be in the playoffs, be 2 or 3 in the Met division, play Philly (hopefully we get home ice), and outside of Boston can beat (or lose) to anyone in the East.

Not a bad position to be in considering where things were earlier in the season.

We are 4 up on CBJ. They have a game in hand. We own the TB.
We are 6 up on Wash. They have a game in hand. We own the TB.

There is NO excuse for us not to be worst case 3rd in the Met and open in Philly, then let the chips fall where they may. Even if we finish 4-3 and end with 94 points, that would mean CBJ would need 13 out of their possible 16 points to finish ahead of us. No excuses to not be 3rd worst case.

Good post chuck. I really can't believe some of the shit I read on here. I honestly think if this team was 74-0-0 and lost a game people would come on here and flip the fuck out about how they suck and won't be fooled by a win streak and to trade everybody blah blah. Sucks because there are some good posters here who provide interesting insight, but the teenage girl whining has really made me stay away lately. A few others too that I've noticed.

In response to the subject of this thread, yeah they've laid a few eggs vs bad west conference teams. But they have also recently rocked Colorado, swept Chicago, and played San Jose real tough in a 1-0 loss where, again, the world ended on this board.

Here's a fun game. Click on the profile of the user who started this thread and look at all other threads he started. If you can find three that aren't bitching about something, you win.

Yeah, struds is awesome. When the Rangers win you never see him. When the Rangers lose though boom he is here knocking something. Never a good word.

As for sc, I love him but the dude has been off his game lately. Lighten up sc, don't be such a downer all the time. Recently that has been your thing. Smile more...:).

Everybody gets frustrated after tough losses. I get that. But this this team is not Buffalo. It's not Florida. It's not Edmonton. It's not the Islanders. We're in a playoff race and have played very competitively against top teams. Lets all chillllll and see how it plays out before we run Nash out of town and start all over again with the next squad

Your idiotic habit of waiting until Lundqvist has 1 bad game out of 10 is beyond stupid at this point. Try something new.

Right now the only thing I'm worried about is getting St. Louis going. Kreider was a huge loss. What some of the tools on this board completely ignored with Kreider was that he was our best defensive forward all season as well as corner man. Only a pea brained, assclown would just look at the points with Kreider. He was also the teams best forechecker. So when you lose the teams best forechecker, corner man and defensive forward who was on pace for about 20 goals, it's a big loss. Disputing it is moronic.

Same tools who were saying the Rangers are not a playoff team in December have now retooled their message to say the Rangers won't go anywhere in the playoffs. Sorry but if you're a fanatic (fan) you don't take stock in such bullshit. On the other hand, followers who quit on the Rangers early and often think that they possess a unique understanding of hockey that fans will never ascend to. Any poster on this board can point out weaknesses on the Rangers but the fact is they were one game from the Stanley Cup a few years ago with a team that had less offensive weapons and an offensively challenged philosophy. Would be nice to win home ice against Philly but the Rangers have been a better road team so it's not the end of the world if they finish 3rd.

Haven't thought this team was a cup contender all season. When they got St. Louis, I was thinking maybe they were but Sather kept idiots like Boyle and Stralman, added no toughness and dropped the ball at the deadline.

Just don't like the mix of this team. You have to get past Boston and Philly in this division to have a chance to win a cup. Unless you have a mean, physical team that can score, you aren't doing that. That is what Sather better realize. Still like the Nash deal because Anisimov and Erixon are finesse players and Dubinsky is lazy. However, as I said a month ago. If the Kings were willing to do King, Forbort and Toffoli for Nash, I absolutely do it. It makes a lot of sense for both teams.

They're not consistent enough to win a Stanley Cup. I give this team credit for playing very well after that 2-7 start and being in good position to grab a playoff spot. That being said even with Lundy standing on his head I don't see guys scoring enough throughout the playoffs for a long run to take place.

I disagree with the people who act as if home ice in the Flyer series doesn't mean much.

Go look at the Flyers home record versus their road record this season.
Go look at the fact we have beaten the Flyers 8 straight at MSG.
Go look at the fact they won both games in Philly, and we won both games at MSG this season.

Go look at all those facts and tell me, yeah home ice doesn't matter in our series. Ridiculous when you look at all those facts, not opinion, facts.

Now that doesn't mean if we have home ice we win for sure, or if we don't have home ice we lose for sure...no way, but it certainly means you much rather have home ice in that series than not. We can still win if we don't, and they can still win if they don't, but having home ice, and a potential game 7 at MSG, in what should be a long series, is a big edge IMO.

I don't think this is a SC team either, but you never know how things go once you get in. I do think we can win a round. I do think we can maybe even win two rounds if we get the right matchups, but it is difficult to see this team putting together 3 solid rounds to make the SCF. BUT anything can happen once the playoffs start.
