I couldn't stop thinking of him last night. I know people mentioned him in a thread or two. That guy reminded me of the best part of myself.

The other part of me is so opposite of him it is crazy. I will leave that at that.

MGB's health problems motivated me, a year and a half ago I was over 450 lbs. I don't know how much over because I had no scale higher to weigh on. I was playing PS3 all night and barely making it through work each day.

I had yo yo dieted before and always put it back on.

Today I am right about 355 lbs and I have changed my life, no real diet just new habits. Recently started riding my mountain bike.

THE POINT OF THIS THREAD is to thank MGB and hope he saw that game last night in the big Rose Garden in the sky.

I don't know if he even knew about me but I just want to thank him the best I can.

Life is too short, didn't wanna leave the house near 500. Funny thing was I felt good physically but I will be 40 in a few months.

Young and fat is like having a fast car but it gets bad gas mileage.
Old and fat is having a prius that gets 10 mpg.

Thanks for the thread about MGB! I was talking with his wife last night and we were laughing how we know Michael was yelling in celebration! We would love for you to come to his memorial on Sunday June 29th! That would be a great story to share with people.

I hear ya. I'm hovering around 360 myself right now, and need to get down down down. But dammit, donuts still taste so good.

I like Donuts ok, but don't crave them. Thank God because I could gain 50 a month eating them I bet.

The best way to lose weight is to truly believe that you are too poor to keep any food in the house beyond essentials like rice and soy sauce. Worked for me.

A way to lose over 10 pounds in 5 days is to not eat for 5 days. Still works for me, about 3 times per year. I'll be slimming down for summer heat soon. Warning: Remove food from the house in advance, due to delirium in Days 4 and 5. Post here a lot then.

Great thread in so many ways!

I too was thinking of MGB two nights ago, thinking his wife and loved ones must be so happy in remembrance.

And a giant congratulations on the weight loss. I'm also working hard as hell to become healthier and happier, and every bit of progress is something to take pride in. I was a 25 year smoker, totally over that now. It smells so shitty to me now, I can't believe I used to love it. Also I'm working on losing weight but I'm not as successful there as you bodyman5000, I got as high as 296lbs and over 6 months have gotten only down to 275lbs. Right direction, but I really want to see greater results. I guess I need to work harder.

Anyway, great thread and repped! I hope you and BlazerCaravan and everyone else reading this continues to work towards a healthier, happier life.

Good for you. I was lucky to try a cigarette in 4th grade and hated them.

I can't believe I hated vegetables for so long. Love them now, I have to be careful at Whole Foods or it would be only rice and soy sauce.

I say we all do our best to stay healthy and stick around for the near future because this team is going to be very entertaining for some time.
