I don't think he has an option for next year, I was pretty sure he signed a 2 year deal, nothing more. CORRECTION he does have an Option
Meh, I don't care that much about the extension. It doesn't count against the cap and Paul can fire him anytime he wants.
Its Paul Allen's money and doesn't effect our cap so I fully support it. If we traded Stotts for any coach on the planet I don't think this team accomplishes more. We need some roster help or growth of young players to take the next step.
Well that's not true. If we had Popovich I guarantee our bench and young guys would be better developed. That guy is better than any coach I have ever seen at developing role players to succeed in his system.
Good... Think it was the right thing to do. I think he can get this team where it needs to go Can or will LA?
Losses within 5 points: 14! 9 within 3 points. Also interesting: we won 15 games by 5 points or less, and 8 by 3 points or less.
The real sign of success: San Antonio only had 11 games won or lost within 5 points, and were 10-1 in that situation. Fewer close games, and a better record among them. That should be our regular season goal.
Mo Williams gets free reign to make mistake after mistake TRob, Will, CJ, etc get pulled after 1-2 mistakes He's not doing a good job of developing his bench
not buying this. Those young guns making mistake after mistake and being left in would get Stotts just as crucified as he already is by a small few here.
A coach who has overcome a lot of naysayers to take a team to playoff record and win a series for the first time in the 14 years. Still has some major holes he needs to work on, set plays and defense. But knows the first rule in coaching, not to beat himself. Kudos to Oshey and Allen.
