That's another good improvement. When I jumped they had a plywood arrow on the ground that they rotated to show you which way to turn.

No, it was pretty much, "we're at 13,000--everyone out!"

    Hello darkness, my old friend
A Skydive Oregon plane is probably the best type of plane to have engine problems.

    Any skydiving plane, really.

Haha true that, as long as it doesn't happen too low too jump but high enough to die, lol.

That's cool. I went to Eugene Skydivers and I had a lot of fun there.

I almost landed perfect on my first jump with both feet on the ground but then I slightly fell backwards and landed on my ass!

Yeah, it was great. You should try static line jumping. I thought that was a bit more freaky as I had to climb out of the plane to the wing and wait for the go ahead to let go and fall backwards.

I had to climb out on the wing too. A jump guide was in the door and told you when to go. Then he jumped right after I did and caught up to me. (then the video guy jumped and caught up to both of us, lol) Your falling in your arch and the jump guide motions for you do to a practice touch on your rip cord. The you get back into your free falling arch position and check the altimeter on your wrist. Then you pull your rip cord.

    Fucking shit men, I lived(thankfully)!

My instructor let me pull the directional ropes all by myself except for when he helped pull it down far enough that we started corkscrewing. He also took over in order to land us.

I made sure not to think about what I was doing and instead just went for it. After we jumped out I was in shock at how much was going on. My instructor said free fall is about 50 seconds, it felt like 5.

I made sure to yell "rip city"!

I would definitely go again, but I'm not going to wake up mornings needing to go skydiving.

    Glad you had fun!

Waking up needing to skydive only hits you after a few weeks, wait for it...

Now you can take the lessons to do it all by yourself.

I'd want to tandem at least one more time. Something about me being solely responsible kind of freaks me out lol.

LOL! At least you had fun! No wind? Clear skies? That plane is loud as fuck when you're up there.

I was 2nd to go and didn't have much if any bench to sit on since we were on the edge. With the plane climbing and not having a seat, it was a decent leg workout.

Some one after me got part of their harness stuck on the plane and i guess they were just hanging out of it. Glad I was out of the plane before then or it might have psyched me out.

We got there at 3 for our check in, and didn't jump until around 7:15, which was within the 4-5 hour window they give everybody. I would have loved for the wait to have been half that time. But thankfully that gave time for the sky to clear up. It wasn't tremendously windy which was nice. I'm sure it was close to perfect conditions.

The plane is really loud, especially when the door is open. They opened the door until 5000 feet, I believe to keep the plane from getting too stuffy.

The view is astounding! St. Helens, mt hood, the cascades. As a kid I wanted to grow up and move to LA...As an adult I can't leave this beautiful state behind!

They were running 2 planes, the instructor for the training session(ended up being my tandem partner) said they are million dollar planes. I don't know enough about planes to know if he was inflating that number or not.
