How so? He made ~$2.7m last season, and was due ~$2.7m this season. He opted out and got $3.7m for this season. At the very least, he added another year at the vet minimum to his career, if you want to look at it that way. Not a big contract by any means, but I'd be happy with a roughly 40% raise in one year.

It wasn't my point that he could make the same money. That was Santiseux. I think Minstrel had the impression that he was saying Mo could have signed the same deal here, but wouldn't have had any minutes, and I was only trying to point out that Santiseux was saying Mo shouldn't have opted out, and in that scenario we wouldn't have signed Blake. There would have been minutes for him.

I thought we could only pay Mo 3.1 or 3.2 or something like that? He got 3.7. That's half a million reasons more for him to sign with Minny. Plus as stated, he made an extra million dollars this coming year by opting out. Besides, it really does appear the Blazers wanted to go in a different direction, anyway. Win-Win.

Good Mo certainly won us a couple games but bad Mo cost us a few. I was fine with his ups and downs as that is his game. What killed me is how his play demoralized the growth of the second unit. The lack of ball movement and integrating the young guys into the flow of the game really hurt the guys around him.

I think the Minni deal is actually pretty good for him. He'll get plenty of PT, probably put up some inflated stats and be able to get a nice little contract the following year. Or he gets packaged with Love to CLE and in that case he's probably happy as well.

Well, the whole reason he opted out was for more years on the contract, not necessarily more money. He wanted security. He didn't get security and now he's playing for a shitty organization that's about to get shittier.

I'd feel more secure making an extra $1m over the next year. :)

Supposedly he turned down the deal that we gave to Blake. I don't know if that's true or not.

Smart move by his agent to turn it down, then. Blake got 2 years, 4.1 million total, roughly. Mo will make 3.7 in one year, and barring a career ending injury, will make more than 400K next season guaranteed.

Yeah, that's pretty much what i was saying. Yeah he got a bit of a pay raise, but he didn't get the years he wanted, and is a little bit more really worth being on one of the worst teams in the league on a one year deal over a team that could have a home playoff seed? Dude has already made a lot of money in his career and probably won't be hurting unless he is like Spree.

We don't hate him as a person. We just don't like the fact that he's a shoot first chucker who looks Dame off when he should pass. PASS THE ROCK....

He's the one who doesn't have a clue. My guess is that at least 70% of the fans WANTED him gone...

Did Mo really just talk in the 3rd person? So unattractive.

Oddly enough I think it is Lillard who will miss him the most.

Mo could come in for either Wes or Lillard and take a lot of the defense pressure off those guys. I think/hope Blake can do the same thing. If Blake gets hurt, Lillard will really be missing Mo.
