Who was the big Tony Mitchell fan a couple years ago during his draft. He's available. Suns just waived him.

Dave MeMenamin tweeted this about an hour ago:
From @gswstats: Klay Thompson has 641 3-pointers for his career so far, trailing only Steph Curry (644) for most 3s ever through 4 seasons
One of you guys who likes to tweet should tell him that's pretty good, but Damian Lillard only trails Thompson's total through 3 seasons by 43 shots, and we're not even halfway through Dame's 3rd year yet.

I gotta admit, I like watching Jazz games. They play together well and they play hard. They gave OKC a run for their money tonight

The only thing they need is to gel together and grow, other than that they will be a playoff team in a season or two.

I absolutely agree. This is yet another example of how the west is going to continue to get tougher.

He imports his drinking water from Oakland? That's odd, I was sure Portland had much better water quality. :devilwink:

Jeff Van Gundy has sung the praises of the Blazers and Wes Matthews throughout the Warriors-Cavs telecast. Sounds like Wes is going to get really rich this summer.

He just said teams should look to sign two of these three: Wes, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler.

Neither Jeff Green or Memphis are very good. Nothing relevant happening here.

He's averaging 2.8 made per game, and "only" needs to hit 3.08 per game from now on to hit 644.

    Bulletin board material for Dame!

Kobe sat out tonight's game against the Magic, and you will NEVER guess who won.

    Hint, it wasn't the Magic.

Yeah, it comes out that if he just keeps his shooting attempts pace, he has to go from 39% to 41%. Or he can keep at 39% and shoot your 3.08/g. Either way, not out of the realm of possibility...

Look at the money Klay, Parsons, and Hayward got. Max or near-max for all of them. Matthews is 28 so he may not get quite that much but he'll definitely get paid. Ariza got $32 mil over 4 years, which looks like a steal in retrospect. Same for DeRozan's $40 mil over 4 years. I think Wes will go for $13-14 mil/year.

I'm thinking 12 mil personally and I wouldn't be surprised if he's getting 13-14. All would be a steal for the type of player you get in return

I was calculating only makes; his makes have to go up to 3.08 per game. How he gets there is up to him :D And it's not even 3.08 for the season, just 3.08 from now on.

What is interesting to note is that there is a good chance that Damian will have blown that out of the water by the time he's done with his 4th season.

As Blazercaravan said, Damian might hit that THIS year. There is a caveat though, Curry (in his 3rd season) played only 26 games. If he had played a whole season (or most of it), his # would've been higher. It could've been potentially 700 or so 3's.

Bear with me, as this could get confusing.

Four full NBA seasons is 328 games.

Curry's 4 seasons consisted of him playing 258 games, and hitting 644 3's.

So we're first going to base this off of 258 games.

    Curry after 258 games had 644 3's.
    Thompson after 258 games had 628 3's.
Damian after 258 games (projected) could have 647 to 664 3's.

After their 4th season (regardless of games missed) it could be:

    Curry 644
    Thompson 792*
    Damian 860*

    *projected

If we were to go after 311 games (the max # of games Thompson could play after 4 seasons).
Curry hit 839 (I think) in his first 311 games.
Thompson (projected based on 82 games this year and 311 total) after 4 seasons, 792.
Damian (projected on 311 total games over the 4 seasons. 46 remaining this year and 65 next year, both at 2.8 3's per game) would be about 810.

    Some other interesting milestones.

If Damian can stay healthy and keeps his pace of 2.8 per game, he could hit 700 three pointer in his 270th game (70 games from now).

If he continues his pace this year AND next year, he should have 630 after this season and at the end of next season (assuming he plays 82 games) have 858+ three pointers.

Any way you look at it, it is an impressive trio of players who are hitting 3's at a historic pace. Especially Curry.
