Not sure of serious or not. But for me watching Mariota's brilliance and the growth of this program this year was not a waste of time... At all.

At least being a Niners fan this year was a slow car crash so you had time to process it and accept it, this was just so sudden because we all started believing there was no way we were going to lose to a third string quarterback.

Proud of our Ducks. Props to Ohio State though, they kicked our ass up and down the field. Thank you Marcus!

Guess we know why duck fans wanted Bama, they could actually beat them...

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Amazing season, was hard to root against a guy like Mariota, but I found a way. Great kid, great player, great human being.

I'm a niner fan too, in a way its nicer to be the fan of a mediocre "up and coming" team than a team that actually gets to the championship and loses.

I said this the other day. I'll say it again. I think Marcus returns. I wish there was a away they could bolster the lines for the next go around.

I'm thinking he begrudgingly leaves for the NFL. But we'll see.

I did root for you yesterday. The one and only day.. ;-)

What I saw was.... Too many "cutsie" plays, lack of discipline last night, and the ducks still can't handle smash-mouth football.

Can't wait for next year when my Beavs smash your Mariota-less softies!

I'm not sad at all. And there is no way Mariota returns. He's the only guy on your team I actually like.

You Ducks losing makes it more likely Mariota returns IMO. Still may be unlikely but I was shocked he stayed last year as he could've been #1 pick then. If he stayed again could really cement his legacy at the school and even college football history. How he feels about the teams at the top of the draft could matter; if I was him I'd have no desire to go to Tampa Bay.

Ohio deseerved this win. They deserve credit and you might also factor in they did it with a 3rd string qtr back and a world class offensive line. Ducks were out coached. Ohio kept the Ducks defense on the field all night and the Ducks offense couldn't convert a 3rd down while the defense couldn't get a stop. That's how games are lost. Ducks didn't lose because of recruiting or money, they lost because they were outplayed, out coached and dug a hole early. This was a successful season for the Ducks. Try being a Beaver fan and you can really feel depressed. If you're a Duck fan, you need to accept a loss with dignity

only call I can remember was the non PI on Marshall that was on 3rd down. I wasnt bothered by Bosa hit (The pump fake gave more time) and I personally think Marshall was bailed out on the TD getting reviewed.

But I cant bring myself to re-watch it to evaluate more

Man, Oregon State fans really do like watching the Ducks lose more than the Beavers win.

Awww, cheer up duckling! There's always next year...... Don't let Ohio's boot stomp keep ya down for long.

FWIW, I was cheering for your squad. Can't wait to see ya in the Civil War next year! Lockie looks great! ;)
